Remarks
The campus is a small one when compared to other instituitions which are less expensive to study in. Do not expect a beautiful and huge campus like the one you see in certain videos and ads. It’s just satisfactory.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college provides an extensively wide variety of courses including some rare courses such as petroleum technology and petrochemical engineering which are not that common in most Engineering colleges. The curriculum is steady and properly thought out.
Placement Experience
As it is a relatively new instituition, placements and other recruitments have only begun. The college allows students to take up internships in industries in order to build up the technical knowledge. The college also supports inhouse projects and internship works although they do not give any form of financial support like stipend. Overall experience was good,
College Events
Department Functions that takes place each semester are kind of fun. All the major festvities are celebrated in the college and also there are specials events for sports and culturals. But the most festive and biggest celebration of the year is the Onam celebration.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Considering the infrastructure and the facilities provided i find the fee structure a bit expensive. But considering the rapid growth of infrastructure and the fact that they’re trying to improve all kinds of labs and facilities, I guess an expensive fee is justified.
Fees and Financial Aid
Some Scholarship schemes are provided for students with good grades. Even though minority students are preferred, I’ve seen most students with good grades getting advantanges from the scolarship schemes.
Campus Life
The labs are well equipped and constantly improving with the upcomimg infrastructure. But I’ve found that the college doesn’t really care about the sports department as much as they do for other departments.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni networks and activities and minimal and not that active. There are hardly any such events organised by the instituition. I have never seen one such event in the 4 years that i studied there. So basically the alumni network is not at all good.
Admission
I got admission into the instituition through the management quota. Almost 80% students in the college gets admitted the same way. Although they do consider previous marks for certain scholarships and some other benefits.
Faculty
The faculties for most basic subjects are well qualified and experienced. But for some particular subjects or courses, the teaching staff are not up to the mark because they are not familiar with the subjects they teach. I have also found that the faculty tends to change often.
