I have written EAMCET which is Andhra pradesh common entrance test for Engineering and Medicine admission in 2002. I have scored more than 80% in the entrance test Plus two and around 95% in which is a very good score at that time. I have tried for admissions in the universities like Osmania and JNTU during the counselling but no luck. SO, i have decided to join reputed colleges which offer quality education and with excellentcareer opportunities. After lot of research through friends, relatives and well wishers i have listed top ten colleges in my state. This is one in the top five. When i have to choose three options during the counselling for admission, i have given this college as first option and next best colleges as the other options. Finally, i have got the seat in the best college in Osmania university which has completed silver jubilee.

The companies TCS, WIPRO, SATYAM and three other companies used to take the interns from our college. They used to get around Rs 12000. I came to know recently there are five other companies like CA, Sapient etc are also recruiting the interns. And, the stipend also increased but not sure of the exact amount.

We have a special placement cell which will be a lead by a dedicated faculty/stream head and few other senior faculty members. As ours is a silver college with good reputation, so many corporate gaints like TCS, WIPRO, SATYAM (Now, taken over by Tech Mahindra), Cognizant and 20 other conducted placementinterviews with a written test in the first round. And, they have recruited around 50 - 60% of the students.The placement cell ensured that students who recruited for one company are not applying for other companies with few exceptions which lead to more recruitment percentage.The cell also takes care of placement training from third year last semester itself.

Similar to other colleges, for all freshers the seniors used to organize the freshers day. I am very lucky as my seniors had given the freshers day inTaj Banjara which is the famous 5 star hotel in Hyderabad. And, we have given our seniors a grand farewell in the same hotel :) Every year our college will celbrate the anniversary in a grandeour way. Many events used to happen during the three day program which include events by famous music bands, famous movie singers programs, sports competitions and what not. Also, we will have yearly Inter college cricket chamionship for all the colleges in ouruniversity.

I have paid around Rs 10000 per year under free seat quota as a merit student. The free seat concept is removed from the next year on wards. Now, its made around 45000 rupees per year for all. The management quota seats will be in laksh as the college is famous. Some nominal fee will be collected for allfinal exams which will be less than Rs 1000.

There is a scholarship program sponsored by the state government which covers Backward and scheduled castes. There is Andhra bank branch in the college premises itself.The college will assist us for availing the student loan. Some of my friends availed it.

I have enjoyed all my four years of college life. Even though initially i am bit shy as i came from a different town, i have managed to get good friends and enjoyed the every moment of the campus like. The labs are equipped with good quality instruments, latest OS desktops, free internet facility. Only few support staff are not good. There are many events used to go as i have informed earlier like the three day anniversary event, Inter college sports championship,Inter college technical fest, placement cell used to conduct debate competitions in order to make us prepared for recruitment selection as many of the companiesconducting debate round to test our English speaking skills.

The only thing i did not like about my college is lack of good hostel facility. I don't know why my college is not interested in maintaining the hostel. There is a canteen in my college which is average with respect to food varieties and quality.

Three years backs, my college students opened a Facebook Alumni page through which the ongoing students or the faculty can connect with the old students. Also, Alumni connects will be happening frequently where the old students who are in the same city used to go to the college and share their experience and extend their hand for any help to the ongoing student for mentoring on their career. I am also part of it and doing my bit to my college.

First year, we have four internals (20 marks per subject) and one final exam(80 marks per subject). The final exam will be conducted in any of the other 5 colleges and vice versa. We have also jumbling system in the exams. The best of the four internals i
