Remarks

The college is overall good but they are a lot strict mainly the securities watching the gates. No studengs are allowed to sit in the leace park during class hours. This is because of the strict management that maintains the whole college

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is godd but need more improvement. Lab exams should be put upro more standards and basic equpiments are not upto required amount such qs glasswares and all. Teachers are good and well qualified

Placement Experience

3.5

They havent done any college interviews from there. There are some teachers with good connections with many multinational companies who can help in getting jobs. But the college does not do any thing in job related things. This is only in food science and texhnology department. In other departments ghey are most helpful in job fairs , college interviews etc.

College Events

4

Almost all the celebrations are celebrated in the college. Food day is the major event celebrated by the department and also a union event called as the SANGHA. Other relegious celebrations are also celebrated such as holi, onam, moharam, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is rather expensive As they ask you to pay the fees for 1 year which can be upto 1 lakh including mangalaore university admissioj fee. The tuition fee per year is about 50000 but outher fees such as library, eyc are collected

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarshps are offered to cagholic communitied and north east indian students are given more consideration regarding scholarships. Other external scholarships are also available. No certain scholarship wing is not present

Campus Life

4.5

Yes they have active clubs and sports is given more importance. All facilities are available in the college. A large swimming pool is there for the students. Good instructers and a well equiped ghm is also present

Alumni/Alumna

Many famous people have studied jn the college as the college is soo old. Many people from alla around india comes to the college and they support outer state students to come and join ti the cillege. It is a very good environment for vrry studious candidates

Admission

Applied online throught the college website. A merit list was put up and was called up for an interview. Attended the interview and was selected. After selection course fee was asked to be paid and after payment my seat was confirmed

Faculty

4.5

They are good and have a lot of experience in their filed. Most of them are net qualified and some of them are still doing their phd from other universities. Most of them do not have industrial expertise

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
