Remarks
Global Academy of Technology is a good college. Although it can improve in many ways to become a better one. The placements are low compared to the surrounding colleges which is one of the aspects which has to be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
Global Academy of Technology is affiliated to VTU.The curriculum followed in this college comes from VTU that includes the exam structure as well. Curriculum theoretical is good .But practical knowledge should have to be improved.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities here are not up to the expectations. Training is given for the placements. Many companies do come but the exposure for students is less. Internships are made mandatory after I graduated. When I was in the college I worked as an intern for RHBUS company without stipend.
College Events
College has many events 1.Sports event: Throughout the year there are many sports activities happening. 2.Fests: College and department fests are held every year. 3.Science Clubs: Every now and then there will exhibition for the projects made by students. 4.TedTalk: Sometimes tedTalks are conducted
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little expensive.The KCET amount is ok but for payment seat it is a little more . Lessening the fee structure might help may students .There is also fee collected for fest.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship or loan offered by the college. However there is state level scholarship which is provided to all students if applied. This does a half reduction of fees also helps people who are staying in hostel.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are good here. Lab facilities are nice but are not open all the time which would help students . Sports are always happening in the college .There are many sports competitions conducted regularly.
Alumni/Alumna
College has great alumni network but doesn't make any use of it. The alumni might be willing to help but the college is not active in this part . Alumni network could be put to great use in terms of placements if organized properly.
Admission
I wrote KCET exams The ranking of this exam is used to shortlist and select college.My ranking was under the college list so I got selected.After finalizing the college ,I went and paid the fees and thus got admitted .
Faculty
Most of the faculty in the college are friendly and always there to help .There are a few exceptions who do partiality and some politics.The way of teaching is also good. More innovative live coding could improve the understanding in the subject.
