I opted for maths stream after my high school. So the obvious choice was to go for the engineering entrance. I gave IIT, AIEEE and UPTU for the same. I was unable to clear the iit but fortunately cleared AIEEE and UPTU and as aieee is considerd superior to uptu so i appeared for the counselling of aieee and got selected into this institute.

As it is compulsory to do industrial training after third year so i had done an internship in bhilai steel plant. I had learned alot in the plant and visualize the real time application of all the theories being thought in the classes. It was not a paid internship so i didn't get stipend even i had applied internship all by myself. In the field of internship and all the college lack far behind the other colleges. The students are on their own. the only help i got was from our seniors and some professors.

The on campus placement is very low though the students get selected in off campus interviews. The handful of company which come for the interview are mostly for it, cse and ec. Last year few medium industries and some startups came offering about 15k to 20k to our seniors. Though some got placed into the good companies like ford and bookmyshow but that was due to there individual effort. You cannot reply on the college for the job.

As it is an university so there are various fest from the various department of the university we have an annual fest and sport week organized at university level. A techfest named equilibrio is being organised by institute of technology department i.e from our department and its a national level fest. And it getting bigger every year. Though the participants are mostly from neighbouring states only but with each passing year its growing. Similar to the techfest various fest from the other department like law,management,forestory etc are also being organised.

The student welfare committee has various scheme through which students can prevail. also there are various competition organized by university in various field which are fruitful for keen students in the field of sports also the university level players are being awarded with the cash prises. Also are two banks within the campus boi and pnb from where students can easily avail the loan.

There are a number of play groups theatre group and dance group in the campus. So a student intrested can join the group or various society in accordance to his interest. being in a university one can see people with various different ideas, interest, society and all in a state of harmony. The environment is good in the university. There is no such discrimination on the basis of caste and gender.

The alumni network is not good though the student and and administration are working to strengthen the network. But for now your personal contact with the seniors is the only way out. Seniors are really helpful at times as they know the situation in which the juniors are.

The course is no doubt good and the syllabus is in accordance to gate syllabus and other competitive exams of technical field but being situated in small city the curriculam is mostly confined to the oratical studies only and due to lack of lab and other
