Redesigning the curriculum for the 21st century has been a hot topic among educators for several decades, and it shows no sign of cooling down because not only does the world change faster than ever before but also there are many challenges in transforming from theory into practice. In this context, the work of Nodding (2007) named Curriculum for the 21st Century provides how the curriculum is reorganized around traditional disciplines with a focus on educational aims for the changing world. In this piece, reflecting mainly on her work, I would like to explore my answers to two questions: (1) How do we adapt the curriculum in response to social change (2) What are the needs of the current generation of learners and how do we meet those needs How Do We Adapt Curriculum In Response To Social Change.

The training & Placement Cell of Pragati Engineering College is established with the objective of not only securing placements for the students but also making them competent enough to face the corporate world. The training and placement activities must continuously strive to achieve the following objectives: (a) Maintaining a good interface with industries of interest so as to facilitate training and placements of students. (b) To approach the industry for an industry-institute partnership wherein workshops, seminars/guest lectures/ special programmes and Internships can be offered to students and FDPs for faculty.

When you are entering college life after your high school, it means you are entering in a new world. It’s also a first step towards the future, career and upcoming opportunities. College life means new friends, attending lectures and making lots of memories. Sometimes, people mass bunk classes to participate in a movie or to hang out with friends. All these processes are part of growing up, a part of entering the adult phase of life, a part of life where you take the first step towards decision making. Apart from studying in college, college days are also fun during the college fest, where you explore the new sides of you and make new friends from other faculties, get to know each other, relax from long lectures. The college fest is usually of three to four days with several events by the students themselves. Sometimes, celebrities and the well-known band also perform on the final day of the event make it more memorable.

It is one of the top ranked engineering institutes in Andhra Pradesh. The intake for B.Tech is 1020 including the second shift, and for M.Tech is 108. They also provide scholarships upto Rs 35,000 based on merit. The fee structure for B.Tech and M.Tech courses are 72,800 INR and 60,000 INR per annum, respectively.
