Postive: good labs,spacious classroms overall good infrastructure Negative: its location is a but remote a little far from the main road however its good and peaceful environment no hustle bustle prevail.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bsc(H)-Biotechnology is a 3 years couse which consist of 3 semesters. It has 9 subjects on average per semester which also incudes a foreign language french or german, a communication skill enacing and rest the subjecta realted to the curriculum.An internship of 2 months in mandatory which to be taken in between the 4th and the 5th semester.
Placement Experience
Yes the college provides internship as well as placements in the final years of BTech studenets not for Bsc(H).however paid internship are rare and college does not provide stipend for internship done within the campus.capus interviews are conducted for the btech students.I personally did mu internship out campus.
College Events
A 3 days fest takes place during the month of February knows as amiphoria others include janmastami,durga puja, teachers day and freshers which are celebrated in the college.For freshers orientation is held followed by freshers party in coming weeks after joining of college
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee stucture for bsc biotech is 3 lakhs 40 for 3 years which is expensive compared to other instituitions.So overall we can rate that the fee structure is a bit expensive .However full Ac campus and digital classrooms are provided
Fees and Financial Aid
If you have above 80% in 12 th many scolarships are provided based on your marks and aggregate those score above 90% are provided 100% scolarship i.e. zero tuition fees for the first semester.The scolarship is continued each semester if you score well you will continue getting 100% scholarship.
Campus Life
Labs are well equipped with modern facilities an indoor sports complex is under construction which will get completed by 2020 which will incude swimming pool along with football,volleyball,tennis,basketball and other sports. For time being there is no ground as the sports conplex is under construction .however there is nearby stadium where all the sports events are conducted for time being
Hostel Facilities
I personally have not opted for hostel but on feedback received by my mates staying in hostel the hotel is very high on security and students are allowed to go out only on Saturday and sundays with an outpass rest of the days only during break the students are allowed to go but for 1 hour rest you canot leave the campus.you need your id card of hostel each time to enter the hostel building.
Alumni/Alumna
This a new university which started its jouney in 2015 so senior batch consist of just 1 single batch o students and its not the best time to comment on this alumni network.however whatsapp groups are their where we can have a talk to our seniors.
Admission
If you have 80% and above in your class 12 you will get direct admission and if lower you have to appear for an amity entrance exam followed by an interview round if you quality for both you will be called for addmission.
Faculty
In total there are 30 faculties and all are phd and post doc in respective feild and are very talended as were as hardworking and helpful.the teachers background include biochemistry, microbiology,bioinformatics, molecular biology and mostly all are csir net qualified.
