Remarks
I don't have anything bad to say about the college. I enjoy throughly studying there. I feel proud to a alumni of bits. It gave me everything. We had lot of fun, there will be a movie screening where new movies are screen in the auditorium.
Course Curriculum Overview
Semester based examination. There will be 2 semesters per year. The course is well structured on par with iit. U will get very good exposure of all the basic course with very good projects. In the final you will get the chance to work in a big company based on our cgpa.
Placement Experience
There is a 100% placements when it comes to computer science. Other courses have a little less placements. You may have to study further like doing MS abroad to get a good job. We have on par internship opportunities like in IIT
College Events
Pearl- Cultural festival. Atmos - Technology festival.Since, its inception in 2010, Atmos has a reputed for its quality of workshops, quizzes lectures technical exhibitions, and competitions, is among the fastest growing tech-fests in our country providing one of the largest platforms for students, academicians and entrepreneurs across the country to showcase their talents in the fields of science and technology Arena- Sports festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive. The fees are quite expensive. For a middle income family it can be quite difficult. It can be around 3.5lakhs per year which is quite large when you compare it with other colleges. That's the only drawback of bits as far as I can say.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides a merit program where the students can get a fee waiver based on their performance and their family income which they must submit with proof. If they qualify for the scholarship it can be from 20% to 80%.
Campus Life
They have fully equipped labs for all the experiments needed. They have PhD programs which require these labs, so you don't have to worry abt the labs. They have a cricket ground, football ground, basketball, volleyball, hockey, a fully built sports center where all the indoor games are present.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a good Facebook group. You will get a alumni email ID. You can easily get connected with the alumni of the college. There are alumni meet-ups which occur often. You can participate in them. They're very helpful when approached.
Admission
Like IITJEE, there is an entrance examination for BITSAT as well. You have to clear the entrance exam to get qualified. It is an online exam. After the exam is done, you will get the score immediately.
Faculty
The faculty are very helpful and they have deep knowledge on all the courses they teach. You can also go to their chambers if any further doubts. You don't have to be worried abt the faculty when you join colleges like BITS.
