My College

The examination system is too much burden for any student since you cannot appear for an exam after every 20 days. Second thing is that the lab teachers really don't coordinate with the students especially the physics lab. Holiday structure is also not good keeping in mind many non local students study here

The course curriculum and the exam structure keeps you busy all round the year. Students think that they can have fun in the college but here thats not the case. Continuous exams keep you busy. Lab practicals, manuals, assignments, tutorials, co curricular activities are more than the requirement

well, I am just a first year guy so I won't talk about what was provided to me. Placements are good in the IT and related branches but very poor in the core branches. Even the HODs expect you to go for entrepreneurship rather than searching for jobs which many don't expect.

Since the college is situated in Karnataka, mostly Karnataka related festivals and events are celebrated in the college. You can't even find the trace on non-Karnataka festivals like Diwali, Durga Puja and Ganesh Chaturthi. Kannada Rajyostvan is celebrated on a very large scale.

I believe for a middle class boy, its really expensive compared to other state level colleges. Colleges having similar ranking and a lot better features than this college are relatively feasible but the only thing that differentiates this college from other colleges is the studies and research which other colleges can't match.

College provides scholarship options to the unprivileged class of students. Either students get a scholarship based on their academics or they have to show that they really have got a very bad financial condition and really need the scholarship. Don't know about any loans offered. Well, I haven't availed any type of scholarship or loan.

College has got really large grounds and stadiums for most type of sports ecmxcluding few. The labs are in a nice condition but are about 50 years old. Apparatus is sometimes not working but you can neglect such small problems. Activities are conducted regularly and all the students are free to participate.

The hostel is better than other options available in the area bit still lacks facilities. You don't get the quality of food you expect from when you pay over a lakh rupees annually. The management is not up to mark. Regular electricity outage is a problem in the area. We don't have a road in front of the hostel so its very much messed up during rains

Well, the alumni network is active and we frequently find them during functions and other such activities. You can see them during the Alumni day or other functions like induction programs and entrepreneurship summits

Got to know about the college from a friend. Appeared for the exams in Jaipur called COMEDK. scored not a so high score. Got Civil Engineering Branch after two rounds of counselling but in vain due to my low score.

the faculty of the college is an all PhD team. Teachers are good and coordinate with the students. But many teachers are kind of proud of themselves. They don't understand problems of students or don't even try to understand. Here teachers will always suggest to skip holidays and just study
