College review

The gate for girls closes at 8 pm and for boys 9pm, the timing should be increased as it is difficult for the students who are studying in any coaching institute or working in any internship far away to come to college at that time.

As this College is affiliated to VTU(Viahvasriya Technical University) the course curriculum is decided by the university and most of the colleges in banglore follow their curriculum.The framing of the curriculum is very precise and it goes well with the current industry trends, the combination of subjects include core branch subjects and IT related subjects. This helps students to work in inter-disciplinary companies. The exam structure is different for different batches the latest batch works on the 60-40 scheme, where 60 marks are for the external written paper, and 40 marks for internal College exams.

Placement cell for our college is good, they provide a lot of opportunities to students of all branches. Maximum companies ask for a minimum aggregate of 6.75(60%) from the students to attend the placement drive. Internships and placement training activities are provided from first year itself. The internships are without payment and for 6 months which takes place in the 8th semester. The average package form our college goes till 3.5lpa.

Many events takes place in our college, which are conducted by the college fest committee. Every year the college fear takes place, which goes on for 3-4 days, there are sports events, music events, celebrity nights and many more. Every department has there own fest aswell which is different from the college fest, it is organized by the students on the particular department.

The college fee is above 2Lpa for the non-karnataka students and for the Karnataka students it is 80000 for 1 year. The fee is feasible and there are many options for scholarships for the underprivileged students.

Scholarships are only provided to the students who are from Karnataka and belong to SC/ST categories. Options for loans are available in every banks without any problems. The banks checks the past perfomance of the students and provides loan accordingly.

The labs provideed by our college are up to the mark, they have a high range to equipments and softwares in the labs. Our college is spread in 20 acres it has a lot of options for indoor sports and a basketball court. It has indoor badminton court and a gym.

I was in the college hostel for 1st year. The facilitate provided there are nice, the hostel fee is 110000 it includes lodging and fooding, food includes 3 meals a day and evening snacks. Every room has a separate washroom. Hostels have a 3-4 sharing rooms, with daily cleaning. They have provided washing machines and wifi facilities.

Our college is 8 years old there not many batches passed out yet from our college, there is no such alumni community stablished till now, but the senior that we know of personally are helpful in the project works and exam preparation.

After writting the COMEDK exam there is a score based counselling process, you need to choose 3 colleges and if those Colleges are available you'll get admission into it. This exam is for non Karnataka residents, for the people living in Karnataka K-CET is the exam.

The faculty provided by the college is not up to the mark, leaving the few PHD Holders, other teachers are not fluent with their subjects. The major problem is that, the students comming from North India have to face discrimination by the faculty.
