Remarks
There are no hostels so any fun activities related to hostels are out of questions.People usually live in flats on rent.Eventually you will feel like you are going to an office leaving your flat at 9am in morning and coming back at 4 pm and sleeping.Other part is 85% compulsory attendance rule and no that is not a typo it is actually 85% attendance that you have to maintain.
College Events
Tere are some clubs which organise events , now any club can organise any type of event irrespective of its type , for example ISTE is a pan india technical student club with student branches in many colleges but the student chapter of ISTE in nirma organise dance competition, prom nights etc which has nothing to do with technical stuff whatsoever.Any events or fests organised by these clubs are not upto par, the participation are scarce and overnight events are not allowed by college administration in fact Btech students are not allowed to have concerts and other 'Non-Educational' activities in campus. Those visiting campus are not allowed to have accommodation inside campus and are made to stay outside the campus. All of this and overall quality of these fests leads to almost no participation from outside gujrat , the only participants are from local GTU colleges who come just to collect points. To make things worse these clubs fight among one another like political parties over student memberships, event dates and other things.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Approx 1 lac per semester excluding accommodation the pattern gets revised every year. Its feasible for a normal middle class family and is quite standard fee for B.tech Compared to market. On start they will give you a performa mentioning fee which will be taken.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are some scholarships available for meritorious and poor students.Students are shortlisted on basis of cgpa and 12th marks and jee rank interviewed and provided with scholarship. The scholarship is rivewed every year and if your cgpa falls below a particular level it is discontinued.
Campus Life
College Life is the worst part of Nirma there are no dedicated clubs for literature,Sports etc you cannot hope for leaning anything new here only if you know anything from earlier you can take part in namesake competitions of sports and other activities.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no senior junior interaction because of absence of hostels and thus not much of a alumni network. If you are looking for guidance for preparing a particular competitive exam chances are you may not find anyone for guidance and will have to do everything by yourself, even though you may have a senior doing good in that field.
Admission
35% of all seats are available for all india entry where the college takes admission on the basis of jee mains rank merit. Rest 15% seats are filled through NRI Quota. To be eligible for NRI quota your parents must have a residence outside india or you must have a sponsor living outside.Rest 50% seats are filled through ACPC rankings. The number of seats in each branch is fixed which is120 in each branch except chemical and IC who have 60 seats each.
Faculty
The experienced faculties at the posts of associate professor or professor are quite knowledgeable but the same can't be said about faculties at mid and low levels. There are obvious gaps in knowledge of faculties with faculties being not able answer simple out of book doubts of students or failing to explain basic 12th standard level concepts.
