My review on MIT Manipal

Positive- good infrastructure, good placement, good place, enjoyable culture, good places to visit like beaches. Negative- high fee, manipal weather is bad. Some times feels like too many assignments.

Not that easy. It's similar to NITs. First 2 sems every branch will have same syllabus. From third sem branch related subjects. You will have open elective subjects where you can select subjects from different branches and also program electives where you will have option to choose subjects in your own branch. Exam pattern will be 15 + 15 2 internals , 5*4 assignments , and end sem of 50 marks.

So many companies come for placement, around 200 companies. CSE , IT branch will have better placements compared to other branches. College doesn't provide internship, but some companies which come for placements offer internship.

TechTatva, it's a technical festival. Reveals, it's cultural festival. Apart from this annual day, farewell and convocation will be there. Nothing like sports day is there. So many clubs are there, and they will have their own events.

It's not that feasible actually. It's 3.5 lakh per year, and around 1 lakh hostel fee. So not affordable unless yours parents are rich. Still so many students are there who are studying taking loan. Outside expenses are low only.

AICTE- your fee will be 1 lakh per year. Criteria is yours parents annual income should be less than 6 lakh. SAGES- if you had done your +2 in Manipal colleges like MGM college. Konkani fee waiver- 10% reduction in fee if your mother tongue is Konkani.

So many clubs are there. So depending on your interest you can take them. Labs are okayish, some devices have got old. There is sports complex called Marena. And it's too too good. There won't be anything like sports day though.

I was a local, so didn't take hostel. But there are so many options in hostel and mess. You can take single or double room. AC or non AC. You will get hostel blocks depending on your last semester GPA.

Yes. It had alumni network in Almaconnect. They post jobs and refer for jobs if possible. There are groups in Facebook also. So you can contact them and they might help you. Satya Nadella, Rajiv Suri are alumni of this college.

There will be entrance exam called mu-oet conducted by Manipal University. Only this exam rank is considered for admission. One can get 2 chances to write the exam, matks best out of 2 will be considered for rank.

Teachers are professionals, you don't get to see they behaving in unprofessional way like they do in government NITs and IITs. They are knowledgeable enough. Some have Phd and have written many IEEE papers.
