It is often called devagiri college

The college is very strict in academics. Devagiri won 15 ranks in an academic year. With ten post-graduate departments. It has four research centres and wings offering M. G. University's off-campus programmes and courses recognized by DOEACC and ICAI. The college has won 150 first and second ranks since 1962. Nearly 100 students have passed the UGC-CSIR and JRF examinations.

The college mostly follows calicut University syllabus. As it is an autonomous college syllabus of the certain course has their own alteration. There is both aided and self financing departments. Exams are conducted half yearly after each semester.

Recruitment is done directly offline. One has to meet the manager. There is a seperate human resource department for it. Interview will be conducted. No college does not provide any kind of internships.

There is both self financing and Aided section. The courses that is in the aided section consists of no fees. It is almost 14000 and above depending upon the course for tge once in self financing section

The Finance Department has accepted a proposal of the Higher Education Department that aided colleges eligible to receive funding under the Centre’ Rashtriya Uchathar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) contribute a part of State’s grant. Devagiri college is one such college. There are a lot of scholarship under russa.

The extracurricular activities work best here. Last here tge college came second in the inter zone kalolsavam. It has all kindbof teams ,that is football team, basketball, Cricket, volleyball, badminton etc.

The college has two hostel, Tagore hostel and chavara hostel. Tagore hostel is boys hostel, it has both pg and ug students. Chavara hostel is girls hostel, only pg students and teachers can stay here.

It is an autonomous college thus the admission is different from that of the University. Registration is to be done seperately in the official website. I.e www.devagiricollege.org. Documents like 12th certificate,10th certificate, other achievement certificate are to be submitted. Scrutenizing is done on the basis of +2 marks. Reservation is ther for certain castes. Sports quota admission is aly there

College consists of best faculty. Most of the professors hold phd in the respective subject. In 2016, the college was Re-accredited by NAAC as the first college to be awarded with A++ grade in the Country with a CGPA of 3.76 on a four point scale.
