Review of IBS college Hyderabad

The college overall is a good center of education. Infrastructure can be made much better. Faculty must be hired even from north India in order to have less difficult for students from north India. Committee work is very exciting.

Course Curriculum is quite exhausting as there are 9 subjects in semesters 1 and 2 followed by a lesser amount of subjects after you choose a specialization. The exam structure is quite challenging as there are two unit tests of 20% weightage followed by 10% weightage given to presentation/project/report than 10% to class participation and 40% weightage to final semester examination.

Placement and job opportunities are satisfactory. They on average place 95% of students in college. They even provide internships and the average stipend lies in the range of Rs8-10k. Around 300-350 companies visit campus for internships as well as placement.

There are many events celebrated in our college. There are around 28 committees in our college which host around 3-4 event in an academic year which make the count of the event over 100. The major events of our college are AAVEG, ICFAI premier league, and VSL in terms of sports. Malang in terms of drama and arts.

The fee structure is feasible as compared to another tier 2 colleges. The fee is around 18 lakhs inclusive of hostel and mess food. Fees can be paid by self-funding or even by loan and the fee structure is divided into 5 installments which makes the burden less from the parents' point of view.

A scholarship loan is provided by SBI Bank for this college. This facility enables the student to not provide any collateral against the loan. The student needs to repay the loan post one year of his places year.

Extracurricular activities are the main in this college. With 28 committees in the college, there is never a month in which there will be no events. These committees give students brilliant exposure to discover their talents.

The hostel is mandatory for IBS college Hyderabad. The quality of the hostel is average but the infrastructure is pretty good for this college. The hostel has its own canteen which is open for the student till midnight for their late-night cravings.

Senior students are very helpful. They often advise us about the placements and internships as well. They even conduct classes for students who don’t understand any subject. Even alumni students play a very important role as they usually come for an event in which they interact with juniors and seniors regarding their internships and placement and often guide them towards the right path.

I had given NMAT which is the entrance exam for NMIMS college. Through that score, I was shortlisted for GD/PI. After clearing GD/PI I got admission to this college. For group discussion and Personal interview, a student has to come to Hyderabad which is their main branch for the selection process.

The faculty of the college is good. They are well versed in their subjects. Initially, North Indians might face an issue from the faculty as the majority of faculty are South Indians so their accent might be difficult to catch up with. After a while all set smooth.
