Remarks

College is fun but if you are regular. There isn't much problem from the administration side if you're irregular but you may lose upon a lot of things if you choose to be that. You have opportunities to do a ton more things other than studies and gain experience and exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This come comes under University of Calcutta and is mainly known for its graduation programmes though it also offers certain post graduation programmes. You have trimester system in examinations internally and University examinations as well

Placement Experience

2.5

There are less placement opportunities and less takers in Bhawanipur. There are little to no space for internships through college. Well these are true at least for my course of B.COM hons. Still there is a formal placement process and you can appear if you want to give it a try.

College Events

3.5

You get to see a lot of events and celebrities here. Tons of events keep happening every now and then in diverse fields. You can get an exposure in multiple areas and your fields of interests. Events may vary from something techie to even modelling etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The 3 year graduation programme costs you around 40 thousand rupees every year which totals to 120 thousands for 3 year for college fee, count some 10 thousand more for any other offical fee or charges etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college may offer you some discount in education fees if you score more than a certain benchmark in your hsc exam during your admission. You need to enquire during the process where any such scheme is on, except for that i don't think that College provides with any education loan facilities or tie ups with banks etc

Campus Life

3.5

They have a small court which serves as a basketball court a hockey court a football court any other court a programme stage dance floor or anything else needed. Except for that they have a indoor playing arena with games like table tennis, snooker pool, chess and carrom.

Alumni/Alumna

It has a weak alumni network though. You won't usually hear of alumni meets etc. Your seniors might be of some help though. The college is trying to improve its network and it actually needs to do so.

Admission

You get admission on the basis of your scores in your 12th/hsc. You need to file a form beforehand with your scores and a merit list will be released on basis of your scores. Multiple merit lists are released on the basis of availability etc.

Faculty

4

Great faculties who are well versed in subject matter are available here and are generally known to be very supportive and encouraging. They are always accessible to students and will always be ready to help you in anything you need.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
