SMS medical college is one of the best

The college is continuously developing and aims to become one of the finest colleges in India. The infrastructure has improved a lot and is appreciable with classrooms capable to accomplish 500 students.

Course curriculum is good, it would be better if there was modernization of the same. Online method of teaching and evaluation must be opted in my opinion.The college is under Rajasthan University and hence the marking scheme is still percentage based.

Sms medical college is one of the most reputed medical colleges. Though the college directly does not provide any direct job opportunities apart from one year compulsory internship after your final proff in the college,for which you get paid too.

While the college is one of the best academically and the associated hospitals are known all over the country,it lacks frequent occurrence of fests like other medical colleges. Though there has been somewhat improvement in the number of activities in last few years, there is a wait for great change.

The college fees is feasible. But for a government medical college to ask for this amount of fee is somewhat unimpressive. There has been a sudden hike in fees for the batch admitted in year 2018 and following.

I don't know about any such scholarship offered by the college, neither I have tried for the same. The needy might be benefitting from any kind of scholarship or loan of which I currently lack any knowledge.

The labs are well equipped,well conditioned lately. Sports facilities are also available in the college. There is a large football/cricket ground, a basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, badminton court, TT tables too.The college has its own gym and swimming pool too.

The hostel (specifically girls) is pathetic. As for the charges, I don't find it appropriate enough for 10%of what they are charging. Hostel rooms are congested with 7 students adjusting in a 2-seater room,4 in 1-seater.

There is a great relationship between junior and seniors here. Until the completion of course you get acquainted with a lot of people- Juniors and seniors. Each one is ready to help at any moment of time.

The admission here is through an entrance exam called NEET-UG. Anyone from age 17 to 25 with biology as his/her subject in twelfth and with atleast 50%marks can write the exam. The college is state's top-most,hence only the top rankers make upto this.

Several departments have very qualified professors and tutors,while some do lack. The college is progressing and continuously trying to expand as well as improve the faculty here. Hope for a positive change very soon
