Remarks

There are many positive remarks about this college, it encourages students to not only actively participate in academics but also helps them excel in different fields by giving them different opportunities and assisting them. When coming onto the negatives remark I would just say the fees here is very high which makes many students to not take this college due to financial problems.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very nice and it changes with time involving new changes that helps for the betterment of the course. B.Tech course here comprises of 8 semesters like every other engineering college in India. Each semester have around 5-6 subjects and around 2-3 labs related to those subjects. When coming to the examination pattern there are 2 sessionals each of 15 marks, 4 assignments each of 5 marks (assignments are open book) and a final endsem exam of 50 marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements for branches like CSE, IT, CCE are really good, most of the students from these branches get placed. When coming on to the placements for other branches they are above average but its not that easy to get into the core company of their on branches.

College Events

4

There are two main events celebrated in MIT, the first is Revels that if the no technical event comprising much of cultural programs and other interesting stuff, while the other being Tech Tatva that is the technical feast here comprising technical events and competitions where students can with huge amount of cash prizes

Fee Structure And Facilities

MIT, Manipal is second most expensive engineering college in India, first being the BITS Pilani. There is a different fee structure for different branches. The fees has to be paid in the beginning of every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Manipal offers scholarships to the deserving students. It offers scholarships to the students who have secured a rank of less than 1000 in the entrance test MUOET. Manipal also offers some scholarships to the students who have secured good rank in the entrance test and whose parent's annual income is less.

Campus Life

5

Manipal students are really good in almost all the extracurricular activities along with sports, that's because the college equally focuses on these things as well along with academics. Also different clubs in manipal helps students actively participate in such activities and sports by conducting competitions on regular basis in the campus itself.

Alumni/Alumna

Some of the noted alumni of MIT manipal are Satya Nadela (current CEO of Microsoft), Rajiv Suri(current CEO of Nokia), and many more. Some alumnias have really grown up their business start ups and they comes here to recruit some of the deserving students here. Nadela being an alumni of this college is one of the reasons why Microsoft visits here every year and recruits many students.

Admission

There is a separate entrance test for this college MUOET which stands for Manipal University Online Entrance Test. The fee for the admission test is almost 2000 INR and you get to choose the branch based on your rank in this test.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty here is quite knowledgeable, helping, and always encouraging students to involve in new projects or researches. MIT is known to have the best faculty for Mechanical branch, the teachers here are well experienced and most of them are known to have published many research papers.
