Remarks
College is very nice, everything here is awesome. There is a very nice counseling service in IIT Kanpur which is there for every student with any kind of depression or anxiety. Also, it provides a student guide to every student which is there to provide any kind of help.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very nice at iitk and exams are conducted in a very comprehensive way, we have quizzes, mid sem exams and finally, there are end sem exams. But that is a usual process and also it depends on the particular professor.
Placement Experience
There are. a lot of job opportunities in IIT Kanpur. Placements are conducted in three rounds, once in December and then in summer and finally, in again December, a student can sit for placement in any of these 3rounds or all in all three also college provides internship opportunities for a student for 3 times at max.
College Events
There are a lot of events organized by iitk as firstly in orientation continues for a week in which there are many events and then comes the Udgosh, the sports festival of IIT KANPUR and in October comes the Antaragni, the cultural festival and finally comes the Techkriti, the tech fest of iitk.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible for every kind of student as firstly fees are according to the total income of the family. If income is less than 6 lakhs per annum then there is a scholarship of 66 Percent in tuition fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships offered over the whole year so that each student who is in need of money may become able to pay the fees and can get a quality education from the premium institute of India. Also, there is a loan facility from SBI and UBI at very low-interest rates.
Campus Life
There are many extracurricular activities like dance, music, fine arts, cube solving, robotics, electronics, aeromodelling, programming, dramatics, etc. For sports activities, there are two sports complexes and many grounds with floodlights available.
Hostel Facilities
I live in the IIT Kanpur hostel and for first-year students, the hostel is separate and new. Infrastructure in our hostel is very good, rooms are spacious and toilets are very well ventilated and clean. There are double and triple student rooms.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a huge network of alumni in IIT KANPUR as it was established in 1959 since then there are a lot of students graduating and securing high packages in many global companies. Also, seniors here are very helpful, we can contact them anytime we need them.
Admission
Like every other IIT, IIT KANPUR also takes admission every year based on JEE ADVANCED exam. After the results are out, josaa conducts the counseling in 7 rounds and before the 7 rounds start there are 2 mock seat allocation round, and then based on the cutoff of particular branch and college candidates are allotted college and branch.
Faculty
The faculty here at IIT KANPUR is very good. Many professors are there from foreign universities and all of them are very polite and nice enough to clarify doubts of students. Also, they are very simple as they come into class on a cycle.
