Remarks
Positive:Vast Campus covered with greenery. Teachers are supportive and talented. Sports, Fests etc are conducted often. The campus includes a Cafetaria, Canteens and a bank. Negative:Self study is encouraged more.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very well structured. It is changed year to year depending on the industry expections. It is very well framed whether it may be Subjects or Projects or Labs. Each semester there will be atleast 2-3 labs and an average of 5 Theory subjects. There are 2 internal exams which expect a minimum of 20/50 marks to be eligible for the Semester end exams. However, each internal is taken for 20 marks and Internals for 10 marks.
Placement Experience
Placements for Electronics and Communication and Computer Science is exceedingly well with more than 80% placement record. High package companies like Walmart, Microsoft, cadence recruit students from our college. Placements with respect to other branches are not so well.
College Events
There are 2 major events celebrated in a year. In the odd semester it is the Sparsh and in the even semester it is Pleides which are national events,and students from across the cities come along and participate in the events. However many small events are celebrated throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. Through KCET it varies from 30-70k for 2 semesters. The seats are divided on the basis of aided and unaided based on the ranking in KCET. However to get a Aided seat, the ranking expected is less than 2000 for which the fees is 30k or else it is 70k.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships available like MHRD, vidyasiri and other caste based scholarships. Almost everyone get scholarship provided he/she holds a caste certificate and applies to it properly. However there is no scholarships for General merit students.The average scholarship expected is 15-20k.
Campus Life
Sports are conducted during the time of events. Many other colleges compete with our college for the sports like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton. There are many sports clubs in college. There is even is big sports ground where we can play anytime. There is even a Badminton court and indoor games arena. Labs are very well functioned.They are in very good condition.
Alumni/Alumna
There is lot of industry exposure which is mainly due to the strong Alumini network. Even the seniors are helpful. There are many talks held in the campus which increases the bandwidth of knowledge. There is lot of scope given for entrepreneurship. There are a lot of campus startups.
Admission
I got admission by KCET entrance exam. One must get a KCET ranking of 5000 or less to get the best branch of this college. However Mechanical, civil and automation & robotics will be available till a KCET ranking of 15000. My ranking was 4600 in KCET as a reason 8 chose Electronics and Communication.
Faculty
Faculty is a mix of both Youngsters and well experienced Teachers. The students have to focus more on self study rather than depending on Teachers. The teachers what is required for the exam basis. Therefore for detailed knowledge one must refer to textbook and concentrate on self study.
