College with overall good performance

Overall college is good. There are so many positive and negative points and you cannot take decisions over them . It's when you leave this college you have lot of things to remember to enjoy you learnt alot and this college let you learn that how the world is going and how you can survive in this world.

Course curriculum of HBTU is very good. You can gain very good knowledge but it's upto you. They now moved to outcome based education with the curriculum parameters of international standards (by national board of accreditation). So overall it's good.

There are some department which provide intership including paint technology at first place and then oil, plastic etc. Paint tech department provide you internship in renouned companies like Asian paints, Berger paints, Hempel, AkzoNobel, Tata motors, Sherwin Williams etc. I myself have done internship with Asian paints with 15000 of stipend at their research and technology centre.

It varies department to department. For paint technology, chemical engineering, computer science, plastic technology, mechanical engineering it's almost 100%. And for other branches it's sometime lower than 50%. Avg package of paint technology in 2019 was 6.5lpa with highest 8.5lpa offered by Maruti Suzuki. MNC visits campus for recruitment like Tata motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Moto corp, Samsung, uber, Amazon, cugl, olam international, Asian paints, reliance oils, Jio etc. For cs department highest package was 36 lpa by uber and olam offered second highest 22lpa then amazon 15.5lpa than Samsung 10.5lpa (20 students).

There are two categories of these events. 1.technical- each branch have it's own technical event. Eg. Techera by electronic confluence by oil, PACT by Paint, mechanical by mechanical, Nirman by civil etc. One hobby fest is there and one cultural fest and one literally fest is there. So if you are interested there are lot of fest and if you are not you cant even know about them. This is the culture. There are also esummit , Ted talk, aeroclubs etc. Etc.

Now it's expensive, they charge 1 lakh from student as Tution fee and the. Other charges. Your whole b.tech will cost you about 5 lakhs if you are non hostlers. And if you are hostler please add 2.5 lakhs more. According to infrastructure it's not worthy enough. But yeah they are improving and I think after 2 or three years I hope they will make your fee worth.

College provide you scholarship by up government, the portal is upscholarship.nic.in . But truly speaking of you want the scholarship you are the only person who is making effort for this. Because they actually don't help much in this. But yeah after you complete your procedure there is no one who can stop your scholarship. But if you have any problem in registration so actually it's your problem. They don't give a ****. Other than this companies like Indigo Paints, Asian paints, Ruchi Soya oils provide scholarship to meritorious and poor students.

Extracurricular activities are upto you. If you are willingly doing it you have many clubs which are somehow sponsored by University but in limited extent. But if you don't want to participate no one is forcing you.you can just spend your b.tech watching others and laughing on them. Labs are not good as overall. Some labs are very good so you don't have permission to visit in them. And if you get the permission so that is for specific purposes you cannot go daily in that. Labs.

Poor. Hostel is not good. They have number of hostels. 4 for girls, 7 hostels for boys. But still they cant accommodate all of students. And also all hostels are not together girls hostel(all) and boys hostels for first years are in East campus. Four boys hostels are in West campus and 2 are near Gurudev called as Dbra. Hostel food is not good. Electricity water there are number of problems.

If you talk about HBTU it is only running over its alumni base. The placement are only being done due to alumni. Lot of fest are being sponsored by alumni. Senior students are always there to help juniors. But please be aware of them for first year. Because seniors only help you if you start respecting them (willfully). They give you party, they give you support, they give you study material, they give you placement, but you need to give him respect. (No ragging)

Exam structure is now changed. And improvements are so good. They now use blooms taxonomy to design the exam paper with number of course outcome. They design the paper accordingly to get enough program specific outcome of you score half in the exam. You need to actually study hard to get good marks in exam. Specially if you are in non core branches like Technology branch.

The process is changed nowadays I will explain both processes 1. At my time of admission The counseling was being done by upsee and the top rankers under 1500 used to get admission in HBTU. There were 5 rounds of counseling in which for general only 2 rounds were slotted. That was a online counseling procedure. Which gives you the feature to float, freeze or leave the slotted seat. Counseling fee was 500 which was submitted through dd before the registration. 2. Nowadays Now University takes admission through JEE MAIN rank but undergo its own counseling via hbtuadmission.com portal. The procedure is same as above but now all five rounds are open for every category and counseling fee is now 2500. And spot round is offline.

For college, I cannot comment anything. But for paint technology department you can get the best faculty of HBTU. Faculty is having more than 25 years experience with good industrial knowledge. Also they have real life practical knowledge and they help you in real time for your project. Currently paint technology department is having best faculty but please keep in mind paint technology department is also using faculty of chemical engineering department for half subjects and believe me. This is the worst. Chemical engineering department is having worst faculty as they are dependent upon guest faculty with no experience of teaching.
