I had a very good time at khalsa College. This college gave me a very good time and teaches me some lessons of life. Thank you khalsa College Amritsar to make me discipline and punctual. I had never think that I could study here but I studied and this college gave me a new life .
Course Curriculum Overview
Semester system of 6months and in September house tests are performed then in December final tests are performed. In every 6months college organise 2time exams one is house test or minor exams and 2nd is finals or major exams and you have to clear your all subjects if you get any reappear in your 2st semester exams then you can't appear for the last semester so must clear your exams and study hard.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, our college provide internships on the basis of your course and No stipend is required in internship I enjoyed my internship at Verka Industry for the training of quality control test. I just paid 1000 rupees for the training purposes at Verka industry
Placement Experience
It depends upon the interview held after the finals and upon your marks and your intelligence. If you clear your interview then you will definitely get a job and college provide the placements but it depends upon your course selection.Nit all courses got placements.
College Events
Almost all the events are celebrated in our college with joy. Like Gurupurabh celebration, Diwali celebration, duahehra celebration, besakhi celebration etc. They organises the competition in the college departments.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As we all know that General category students can't have any concession. SC BC category students can have concessions for their fees. You have to pay your fees before the exams otherwise you can't appear for final exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes you can claim loans for your study but not all courses can let you to claim loans according to the bank faculty. I didn't claim any loans becauy of bank faculty deny my course for this claim. College allows you to claim loans but sometimes bank deny.
Campus Life
Excellent labs with proper instruments and requirements. Sports ground is very big and the players can play there for the whole day. Guardsmen are always around there for the help. No stranger can enter in the sports area.
Hostel Facilities
I'm a local student so I don't know about the hostel infrastructure and facilities but the hostel mess was very good and fresh is provided there for the students as I visited there with my hostel friends.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors help us a lot they help us by sharing notes and answering questions in answer sheets. Sometimes they share there time with us to tell us how to study without getting bor as well. They always make us feel home
Exam Structure
Exam structure is also very good. In September house tests are performed then the finals held in December month, these tests take 6 months and the semester over after every 6 months. You must have to pass your lower examination otherwise you won't appear in last examination.
Admission
Through random admission. I gave my photocopy of matric certificate and +2 certificate with my adhaar card copy then I filled examination form and pasted my photos on the form then I went for fees submission after all this I got seat in B.Sc. Biotechnology and the entrance test for this course was cancelled.
Faculty
College faculty members are very cooperative and helpful. They help you in every field if you trapped in any problem even it is personal or private they always helps you until the last breath. Faculty of khalsa College always hear your issues first then it take action.
