Remarks

I love my college. Although the canteen is terrible, I still love college. The people are good, staff's best and the teachers are amazing. I'm in my third year and I really don't want to leave college ( which doesn't mean that I'm gonna fail a year).

Course Curriculum Overview

4

BMM is quite a course. Now that it's BAMMC and the portions changing, the whole 'no scope' fear is cooling down. I love it as all the media subjects are covered. But somewhere faculty issue is raised.

Internships Opportunities

It does. There's a teacher who helps us with our internships. she helps us with interviews, our work and also gets us hooked up with projects in the industry. We also have a placement cell, helping us with our job placement.

Placement Experience

3

Our seniors are working in many advertising and marketing companies and a lot of the regional reporters are from my college. So the placement cell is quite effective and it really helps getting things sorted for those who are not familiar with job or career related workings.

College Events

5

Youth festival, Indian National Theatre, Ganapati fest, Diwali, Saree day, Traditional day, Christmas, Annual day, Sports day, our annual fest Kurukshetra. All of these are celebrated on a large note in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. A lot of people from middle class or lower middle class take admission here. So the fee is quite affordable that way. Plus they have provisions for those who can't pay the fees. It's actually 17,562 for students but with scholarship and other provisions it comes down to 2,456.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a loan facility and scholarship facility but I really don't know what it is. For it, the principal is to be met with and they will be the ones deciding about the scholarship. There was a friend of mine who had some problems paying the fees, so she had a talk with the principal and she got her fees reduced.

Campus Life

3.5

Our college is known all around for its extra curricular activities. We've been around the name and game from 1985 and it takes me by my pride to say we've been winning almost 7 to 8 overall trophies every year for the dramatics. Music and dance also brings up something or the other for the college every year and it is sincerely fun to watch them celebrate it. College also awards them for their win.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is unfortunately no hostel. Although there are subsidies for hostel students. They get a airfare, train or bus concession. They also get food concession when necessary. The infrastructure of our college and the facility provided is actually good since the fees is under 18,000

Alumni/Alumna

As I said before, our alumnus and seniors are really good and helping. They'd come helping us anytime you call them up, even though they'd be buried in their own life. It is really an honour to have such People as seniors. They also treat us like their friends instead of being egoistic.

Exam Structure

We have six semesters. Each semester end we have an exam. 25 marks for internal projects or assignment and 75 for our external, written exam. For third year, there's a subject that's 100 marks internal. For external, we have to study our syllabus and go write an exam paper. For internal, we have various creative projects, like short film making, reporting, visiting a company and learning their workings, making an ad campaign, running an actual event, presentation.

Admission

I had to submit my documents and a printed form. Had to wait almost the whole day, but it wasn't so bad. I was done in the afternoon and then I left. I also met like my friends on the day of admission. I was a bit anxious since I'd heard that BMM students are quite fashionably advanced and i believe in graphic tees and sweatpants.

Faculty

4.5

We mostly have outside faculty as BMM in my college is new. But the faculty is really really good. They teach by using relevant experiences of their own or skills. They also speak our language, as in they engage in our life positively.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
