Remarks
It is a good college, undoubtedly. However, it seriously needs more dynamic academicians, who are up to date and also needs a campus. The campus life is practically non-existent. Talking about my department, the teachers drastically vary from great to outdated.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is CU prescribed and the library is well equipped to tackle the same. The curriculum is frankly very easy and anyone cam fare well given they have a basic understanding of their subject. That's all.
Internships Opportunities
The college, at least at UG level, doesn't provide internships. However, it's so centrally placed that any place is accessible. All one has to do is a simple Google search and everything is reachable.
Placement Experience
I'm just in my first year so I'm not aware of the same. The college has many departments and I don't know if they offer placements for other departments. People from my department usually go for higher studies
College Events
Srijan is the college fest, if you can call it that at all. Other than that there are small isolated events here and there but that's about it. It's not known for its lavish events and happening lifestyle
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is comparatively on the cheaper end. It is affordable for anyone hailing from a middle class family. The college provides its students with air conditioning facility and for that, the fee is pretty moderate.
Fees and Financial Aid
I wouldn't be aware of any scholarship or loan facility extended by shit shikshayatan College. I doubt there's any. However, the fees is quite low and considering commuting to the college isn't an issue, I don't see the need for one.
Campus Life
The college does give you a fair shot at co-curricular, provided, you're willing. It's severely restricted due to the lack of an actual campus but from debating circles to theatre, they try everything within their means.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostels in shri shikshayatan. The college barely has a campus, it's just one building so it'll be unrealistic to expect them to run a hostel for girls. Most of the students are locals who couldn't get admission elsewhere.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior junior relationship in the college isn't one of its highlights. One hardly sees any senior junior interaction on campus. The college too doesn't make any effort to facilitate the same. Wouldn't know anything on the alumni pool.
Exam Structure
It falls under CU. So the exam structure is pretty relaxed. Contradictory to what most say, the exam structure is very student friendly and frankly, easy. There are hardly 4-5 papers one has to sit for.
Admission
The admission is based on your class 12 board results. A list comes out ranking all the students according to their percentile (best of 5) and political science marks individually. The students making the cut are called for document verification.
Faculty
The facility is the only good thing about the college. However, some of their knowledge might be redundant and outdated, they're passionate about their subject. Most of the teachers here are easily accessible.
