Remarks

The environment if very nice and comfortable and clean. The mobile phones are not allowed in the college campus and huge amount of fine is imposed if someone if found using the phone in the college premises.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is informative and quite vast. The books chosen are very good. It includes all the neccessary areas of interest a biology student would like to study. Having various different topics gives us the chance to explore and find out our particular area of interest.

Internships Opportunities

No the college doesn't provide any particular internship but various placement drives are conducted throughout the year for interested students by the placement cell. However students can do internship outside the college as various companies give opportunities in Chandigarh

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement drives are conducted throughout the year by the placement cell. It constitutes many professors and students as well. Many companies come to the college and take interviews for the final year students

College Events

5

Many events are celebrated in the college throughout the year. One of the major attractions of the colleges in the tricity is the Meraki fest that is organised in February or March every year. It is a huge fest of 2-3 days. Festivals are also celebrated with enthusiasm in the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is less compared to other colleges in the area. It is feasible for almost all the students. Fees is paid annually at the time of admission. It ranges from 18,000 -20,000 for Bsc students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such scholarship are given in the college. I did not avail any such scholarship or fee waiver during my college years of three years because the fees is quite feasible for almost all the students.

Campus Life

4

The labs are very well equipped and quite spacious. They are well maintained and clean. All the instruments are available and most of them are DBT funded. The extra curricular activities are various youth festivals and inter college competitions

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are good but the only thing is that only fans are provided to the students in the hostel. The quality of food is improving now and it is quite edible. The rooms are small but adjustable. The wardens are cooperative and of very warm nature

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni network is helpful. I am still in touch with many of my seniors and they still guide me till date regarding all the issues i face in and out of the college. They are always available whenever required.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted semester wise in December and May every year. Mid semester exams are conducted twice a year and internal assessment are given on the basis of these tests. The results are declared for semester exams within 2 months

Admission

Admission through merit lists. After filling the form eligible students were called for counselling where the original documents were verified and admission was given. Fee slip was generated the same day and it was paid online within 24 hours

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very experienced and always ready to help the students. They make sure that everybody in the class is taking the studies seriously. They pay individual attention to all the students. The faculty is well educated and informed about curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Flexibility of course and type it has to be done . For further academic pursuits definitely yes but for real world application as of now except computer application there is no real world application of this as of physics it is more derivation type topic is covered in the first semester as of now. I course should be designed to prepare for real world application not the old school craming and derivation type. Exam happen twice a year in april and in novembor-december and of moderate level

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.
