Review of Vasavi Engineering College

Positive remark is the perfectly structured academics and the faculties complete the portion well in time. Negatives:The student has to compulsorily maintain attendence of 75% because of which the student is not so engaged in co curricular and extra curricular activities.

The curriculum is engaging and sometimes overloaded with the stuff that seems to be unnecessary like adding subjects like Environmental sciences,open electives etc. The curriculum gives least priority to sports and games.

Yes,but puts a grade limit because of which all cannot participate.One of the intern is adrin which is an electronics project .But the faculty let us know if there is a worth wile intern or boot camp .Some of our classmates are in the intern of womens internship in which the selected women got the stipend of around 10k or above based on the out put of the project.some of them have been to IIIT Hyderabad bootcamp .

over all placements of 98% for cse,95% for it,92 for ece branches .Mech,civil have an avg placements of 60-65% in which most of them are not their core companies.The avg pay package of 4- 4.5 lakh and 14 lakh highest package on campus and 39 lakhs in off campus.

Freshers party( only for 1st and 2nd years) before the end of 1st semester. Euphoria the prestigious tech fest of our college conducted for three days in the month of march. In this event prices are distributed to students who top academics and also in extra curricular activities like sports. During this event there will be performances of various groups. Also there will surprise guest who will be a celebrity. This year it was Falaknama dasfame viswak Sen Naidu.

It is expensive but compared to other top engineering colleges and the placements they provide ,it is feasible. Recently supreme court has made judgement because of which the fee had been turned down to 1.2 lakh from 1.6 lakh.

Based on the merit list if we opted the college through counseling and you are an EBC candidate (income less than 2 lakhs) the state government provides the full reumbersement of fees.If not through counseling the college provides the scholarship to students other than reumbersement candidates based on the student's family financial status.We have to refund them after we get ou placements

The labs are good but not so the lab assistants.The curriculum gives least priority to sports and games but encourages students to participate in university tournaments and also gives attendance under extra curricular activities.

The college does not provide any hostel facilities .But surrounding the college there are many hostels available with good infrastructure and with reasonable fees. Though for most of the hostels the mess might not as good as you think but is adjustable.

Once or twice in a month an alumini or senior interactions are conducted during which the aluminis let us know the current scenario in their work place and the do's and don'ts of doing any project ,any programming language etc. Interaction with Seniors help us to trace out the flaws in our project, modifications if required etc.

1.6 lakhs per annum.2800/- for every semester exam .5,000/-( not compulsory) for library book lending scheme,10000 maintenance fee for only first year.It seems that after the judgement given by supreme court,the fees has been now turned down to 1.2 lakh per annum.

I got admission in to this college through EAMCET exam .Based on my rank(2605) and category (oc)and research on previous years college closing ranks for each branch I placed the options accordingly and got this college.

The college has the faculty in which 80% of them have an experience of 10 years above .They always be interactive with and clear our doubts if brought to their view exception of some of them and lab assistants.
