A progressive college

Overall my college experience was good but college lacks largely on the placement front. Not enough placement drives are conducted. Only a handful companies visit the college campus and most of them are it based hence negligible chances are given to core streams like civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

It followed the curriculum of Rajiv Gandhi prodhyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal which used to conduct the exams and majority of the colleges of Madhya Pradesh were affiliated to the same University. The curriculum was largely focused on theoretical knowledge but now after becoming a deemed University,the things are changing fast and more focus is being given towards practical learning.

No internship was offered during my time at college. We had to arrange the same during our college time. I went for an internship to force motors in Pithampur and that was a very nice experience. Though the internship was an unpaid one, I had to pull many strings to do that

The placement and job opportunity was very slim and only a handful company used to visit the college. The condition has not changed very much as far as I am aware, also the number of selections have gone up only marginally in the recent years. TCS remains to be the largest recruiter of all and I feel that college authorities should put in more work to bring more companies.

The college used to have 2 major events. The techno cultural fest known as Spandan which was organised in the month of March and generally lasted for 3 days. The event saw performances of various bands, orchestras and dance performances. Also there happens a sports fest in the college which

The fee has increased over the course of years which can be viewed on the college website but at my time it was 55000 INR per year which seems like a pretty nice deal and as the college is run by the trust so the fees is less as compared to other colleges in the city

The scholarship and loan facility was not availed by me so I would not be the right person to answer that but there are no scholarship or loan provider by the college administration. Many scholarships and schemes are given by the Madhya Pradesh government which can be known at their official website

The laboratories of the mechanical engineering were not in a good condition untill 2016, although the college has a pretty good baja SAE team which has secured very good positions in the completions across India.

I have never stayed in the hostel and hence I have no idea about the hostel facilities but there is a hostel infront of the college which is only for boys and the girls hostel is at rajmohala indore. The girls hostel is a very secure facility due to the presence of cctv cameras and they have a restricted entry. Also the girls are supposed to do make an entry in the register

The senior junior interaction in the college is good and they share a healthy relationship, although the college is improving its approach in keeping the alumni base in touch but the attempts made by them have not appealed to me as a alumni. Well as they say, it's never late to start trying so I feel it would take a little bit more time to get things in place and make alumni meets a success.

The exams were conducted by Rajiv Gandhi prodhyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal which had a very fixed pattern of paper. Each exam consisted of 5 units from each subject. Each exam was held for a duration of 3 hours and the maximum marks were 70.

I appeared for mppet 2012 and secured a rank of 5700 out of 1.25 lakh students who appeared the same year. In the process of online counselling conducted by vyapam I was given a choice of mechanical engineering in Sri vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya formerly known as Sri vaishnav institute of technology and science.

When I took the admission mechanical engineering was a fairly new branch in the college but now the faculty are way more experienced than before and being a computer science focused college makes it better to go for a cs branch now
