Pros and Cons of IBS, Hyderabad

Positive: Good curriculum, Case study based approach to learn concepts, good faculty, good environment with diverse culture. Negative: intake is high, 97% placements, ROI is not good because on 18lakhs you get an average of 7.25lakhs.

The curriculum is vast and it covers almost all the topics which are required for a manager in today's corporate world. A manager should have atleast basic knowledge about every field whether it be marketing, finance, operations, strategy making etc. The curriculum contains every subject which provides us with the basic knowledge.

Yes my college provides us with internship. I am in 1st year so till now I didnt get any internship, we are provided with summer internships which are stipend. Our seniors have shared their experience and according to them the college provides us with internships.

97% of the students are placed in our campus. 200+ companies visit and the average package they offer is 7.25lakhs per annum. The highest national package is of 16lakhs offered by Amazon(national) and in international it is 50lakhs. Because of large intake it becomes a bit challenge for the college to place all the students.

we celebrate each and every event. Since IBS has a diverse culture every festival is celebrated. And we even have events and clubs to partcipate, win, learn and enjoy. The immense batch size helps to make a happy mini India.

It is a bit expensive with 18lakh fess inclusive of hostel and mess and tution fees. But because of bank educational loans it becomes easy for a student to afford to go to a great B school like IBS. Being a student of IBS Hyderabad, I would like to tell it just depends on your talent the amount you pay if you have a capabitlity to earn back then yes it is a good option.

In every semster we are provided with scholarship to the students who score good CGPA. This motivates the student to get good CGPA but it can even add stress to a student to score good marks which is a negative thing.

There are many clubs and committees which gives us a platform to participate and win. There are many sports competition conducted like cricket tournament, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton etc. There are even cultural events conducted.

Hostel and infrastructure is really amazing. It a huge campus. It really makes us close to nature. There are different rooms like you get a double sharing room or single room it is just given on first come first serve basis.

Seniors are very helpful. There is no ragging in our college. Strict actions are taken if anybody is ragging or bullying. Alumni network is very large as it has a immense batch size of 1200 students. Seniors help us with any acadameic problems and clarifying our doubts about which club to join which is helpful for us.

It has unique exam structure. It has 3 NCPs that is non class participation of 20 marks and we even have Class participation marks which makes us live in the class and gain knowledge. And we have our semester exams. Our course is of 2 years with 4 semsters.

I gave NMAT exam and got a call letter from IBS, then I had Group discussion which followed by Personal Interview. The evaluation of marks were based on 10th, 12th, graduation marks, grouo discussion and personal interview.

Faculty of our college are very understanding and are really very helpful. Their knowledge and their realistic nature really helps us and we get to learn many interesting things from them. The way they deliver the lectures are just filled with magic.
