Course Curriculum Overview

I am doing MA in English from the university and the course syllabus focusses on the language. The university organises regular workshops on Teaching English as a Second Language and our teachers and professionals actively participate with us so that we can learn easily.

College Events

The campus playground at my college is quite big so the students like me get a chance to actively participate in various different kinds of activities that are hosted inside the college. Also due to involvement of students in various different games and activities, there are many good players in different fields of boys’ and girls’ events that are playing at the national level.

Campus Life

Yes there are many extracurricular activities that are organised in my college and students get a chance to take participate in many different events as well. Besides there is a digital lab as well in the campus to make students updated with the latest developments

Hostel Facilities

Yes I have opted for the hostel as I researched well in advance at the time of applying for accommodation at the university. All the basic and much need facilities are offered to the students living in the campus

Faculty

According to me, this university is one of the best Universities in various types of other universities. Here the teachers and professors have complete knowledge of the course and is doing a noble cause by sharing it with students like me. The teachers always show their extended help towards helping their students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to go out of west bengal and study. And I also want to experience how to live in hostel and how the hostel Life is. That's why I go there. All courses curriculum and teaching methods are already very good. Exam is not so hard.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
