D.A.V. P.G. College, Gorakhpur

Our degree has a major focus on the Biology subject. The course and the syllabus is designed in a way that the students should get acquainted to all the aspects, theories and skills required in the field of Biology. We are assessed on the basis of how well we have understood the concepts by giving presentations, assignments and semester examinations.

Our college is happy to host and celebrate all the festivals in a year with a grand celebration. Sports meet happens annually where all the students show total enthusiasm and active participation. Also our college invites many professionals from outside the college as a guest lecturer so that we all can get experience of outer world perspective as well.

According to the infrastructure, education quality, food, accommodation and overall management of the college and staff, the students find the fee structure to be quite on the feasible side. The fees are quite affordable and many people have given a positive feedback about the college facilities being worth the fees they pay.

Our college has a separate scheme where students coming from a household below poverty line are provided funding options and many more schemes with tie-ups with the banks are explained to the parents at the time of admission. This way the students benefit from these schemes and can avail educational facilities from our college.

We have various cells or clubs for different hobbies and purposes. Our college supports the cell empowered especially for women, a club which respects all the cultures and celebrates them together. Infrastructure is up to the mark in this college, with all the facilities and equipment available in the respective laboratories.

We were told to give the JEE entrance exam conducted by the State Board. If you qualify in that examination, then you are further selected for the admission and form filling process in the college. You need to pay a certain amount of money and obtain the form from the college admission department. After that a list of selected students will be put up and those students can complete the rest of the formalities.

We have teachers who have done their masters as well as some professors who have done their doctorate in various areas of Biology. They are well experienced and have a thorough knowledge about the subjects they are teaching to the students. They help us and are very supportive, especially in the pre-examination period when we all go to them to solve our academic doubts.
