IIT Delhi- A dream of many.

Overall, i would say that i am satisfied after joining IIT Delhi. Being one of the best institutes of the country, this college has surely met all the expectations that i had from it before taking admission.

Well right now all the subjects which i have been taught are common (physics chemistry and mathematics) since i am a first year student and in IIT DELHI all freshers are taught the same subjects irrespective of the department they are in. Taking about the exam structure we have 3 examinations per semester namely minor1,minor 2 and majors. The former 2 constitute half of the weightage whereas the later constitutes the other half.

The placements of our college are commendable.almost all the serious students get placed with a package > 10 lakh per annum.Yes, IIT DELHI provides internship opportunities, however, as i have already told i am a first year student, i do not have any experience of it.

A plethora of events are celebrated in our college. To name a few: 1) rendezvous- the main fest of IIT Delhi.It is a 4day cultural treat for all the students. 2)sportech- the sports fest of IIT Delhi 3) Tryst- The technical fest of IIT Delhi. 4)convergenz- a cultural fest aimed mainly toward first year students.

I would say it is rather on the expensive side ( about 2 lakh per year) Before the fee home in 2017 the fees was quite low but since then, yes, the fees has been increased to thrice of the previous fees.

Although I haven't availed any such facility but surely, scholarship is given to students who perform exceptionally well academically( for higher studies as well as for completing there ongoing course of study in the institute)

IIT Delhi has provided it's students with all kinds of sports activities, starting from cricket, Badminton, to swimming, squash, etc. Also the labs in the institute are well equipped with all the required facilities.

IIT Delhi has a very deep and amazing alumni network including big names such as binny bansal(flipkart). Also the alumni regularly visit there respective hostel and contribute financially. The seniors also are quite supportive and they help us a lot in surviving this heat of competition.

I got admission through the prestigious jee advanced exam. To qualify for jee advanced i had to first clear jee main. I got a rank of 754 in jee main and 601 in jee advanced. After the result of jee advanced, a proper counselling took place(josaa) through which i got my course alloted.

The faculty are very well trained and have sheer expertise in their respective fields of study.their methods of teaching are also very unique and good. All the students understand the stuff which goes on in the classes.
