Remarks
This university has a diverse student body and thus, allows you to mix and get to know the outer world as well as enhance yourself academically. It is very secure, especially for girls, with a police station just in front of the university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is based on the guidelines by UGC. It is simple and yet highly informative. The teachers are highly learned and they give their best in making the students understand the content. They explain the content thoroughly and are open to discussions in and out of the class. They are friendly and are very helping.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, MSU provides internship. Although I have not become an intern yet, but some interns have told me that it is really profitable to be an intern here. The university provides a plethora of knowledge and experiences. I do not know about the stipend provided to the intern.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities might not be as good as some private universities. Most placements are in small companies but with a decent package. The university also has good bonds with some major companies like Birla group and Reliance.
College Events
The university celebrates a diverse range of events including a festival celebrated during the month of February. Various fairs and exhibitions are organised throughout the year in different faculties. Some of these are open-for-all exhibitons where students and people from around the world arrive.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is in two categories: grant-in-aid and higher payment. Both are very feasible. Even the higher payment fees is not very high and allows students from poorer backgrounds to afford the courses easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is provided to students who cannot afford the fees and also to the students who are academically good. Free tablets are distributed each year to the students on certain criterions. Scholarships are also provided to study abroad.
Campus Life
There are plethora of extracurricular activities. The university has it's own cricket ground. NCC is also offered. Various other sports and other activities are offered. Labs are in good condition and teachers provide excellent guidance. Students also research and are encouraged to develop their own ideas and programs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is not high-end but it is in good condition and enough is provided to meet the day-to-day requirements of the students living there. Facilities are also okay and so is the food. In most rooms, four students share the room. Hostel is mostly clean and and is quite secure. Considering the fees, it is worth it.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network and senior students are also very friendly and helpful. They provide guidance to the freshers. The strict guidelines against ragging and proper implementation of these guidelines creates a very relaxed and easy going atmosphere for new students.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is based on enhancing the overall performance of the students. The marking system is not very lenient but also not very tough. Questions are mostly aimed in testing the all round academic growth of the student.
Admission
I applied online. The university doesn't ask your overall 12th result. They ask for the reault specific main subjects in whichever stream you were in 12th. Fortunately, I was shortlisted in the grant-in-aid category. I went to the orientation program and submitted all the required documents for the admission and chose the subjects I needed. The staff was very helpful through out the process. I paid the fees online and recieved a provisional admission card. I started going to my classes as soon as they started. Admission was further confirmed after all the necessary online procedure was completed by the university and I recieved a Permanent Registration Number. The process was easy going and wasn't much stressful.
Faculty
The faculties are also very good in terms of the facilities provided. The staff is friendly and very supportive. There are diverse faculties ranging from various sciences to subjects of languages and arts.
