A college for everyone in Powai

College is a little fast paced.Each semester lasts only for 3 months where we have to study 8 subjects in addtion to assignment, presentation,class tests.Social life gets affected if you are a localite as you have to travel to powai which isn't well connected via metro and railways.

It is quite strenuous but upto par with top institutes like IIM.They have included courses from various backgrounds in first year so that we,as future managers, don't lack in knowledge when we go out.Iit includes Marketing,Finance,Business communication, Organisational behaviour,Economics which grooms the student overall.

Yes,college does provide internship after 1st year.I am currently in the first year and I will be sitting for internship interviews in August.I heard from seniors that stipend ranges from 10000-50000.Various Finance and marketing companies visit.Also some HR companies recruit students.

Placements and job opportunities are challenging as at least 900 sit for placement.College takes a lot of effort to at least place 95% students starting from September end to February.Remaining 5% get places till June.Banking companies like ICICI,HDFC visit.Accenture is one of the major IT recruiters.JP Morgan is also one of the major finance recruiters.

There are 23 clubs in college for finance, marketing,HR,gaming,sports,sound,dance, social activities, photography etc.Each club hosts activities pertaining to it's area.There are various seminars related to core subjects

Fee structure is feasible as it takes 8 lakhs for 2 years.There are 6 semester and each semester we have to pay 1,44,000 except for the 80,000 which we have to pay after getting selected in college for confirmation of seats.College also collaborates with financial institution so that students can opt for easier loan

Scholarship is provided on merit basis.They higher you score in college examination the more you get.If multiple people get same cgpa then amount gets equally divided.Above 8 cgpa you get 50,000.Above 8.5 you get 60,000.Above 9 you get 80,000.College provides bridge loan facility in semester 1 where you can pay 34,000dd and then for next 3 months you have to pay 40,000 in cheque.

We have kautilya which holds activities and competition related to finance.We have markophilia which sees marketing events.sparsh sees sports.soundbox sees sound and music.Seminars are regularly held.

IBS Mumbai doesn't provide hostel but they do help students get accomodations nearby college in Powai.College does have a good infrastructure.It has reading hall for studying.It has communication lab for improving communication skills.It has innovation center to motivate students towards creativity.It has recreation room for refreshment of students where they can play Table tennis,carrom,chess.It has computer lab for IT supports.It has common rooms for get together.Each classroom is equipped with projector and Ac.

Alumini and seniors are very helpful.They are strict when needed and friendly and caring otherwise.Aluminis regularly visit college to share industry experience and take mock interviews.This helps us to get ready for the outer world.Seniors help us in college with study and extra curricular activities.

It's divided in 2 parts,internal and external.Internal is 60 marks which consists of presentation,in class tests, assignment, attendance,class participation.External is college examination which common throughout college.Exam is further divided in mid sem and end sem exams

I gave Nmat exam and qualified for sitting the iinterview.I was called to Hyderabad for further process.There they had arranged bus services for students to get to college easily and safely.Then we had to fill forms and submit them.After that we were given slots in which we had to sit for interview and group discussion.For group discussion each group had 12 people and a topic was given.My group got online marketing vs offline marketing.We had a discussion of 15 min.After that we summarized and went for interview.Interview panel had 2 people.They asked questions related to CV and general awareness.After that results were declared on college website 15 days later.

6 out of 8 faculties in all the sections are good at teaching and knowledgeable.They are co operative and understanding.They use practical examples from industry to teach subjects.They promote class and group activities so that everyone understands what it means to be a team.
