UET conducted by BHU, Varanasi at multiple cities throughout the Country. I was interested as BHU is one of the finest University of our country and an University of repute worldwide. The infrastructures, faculty members are of high standards.Mode of selection to the course was all India basis entrance test followed by counselling.

One has to choose a group of subjects comprising of 3 different subjects. After completion of two years study with all three subjects one has to opt for any one subjects out of 3 subjects selected earlier. The final year was meant for detailed study on a single subject - which was defined as the Hons subject.

Very good experience. Apart from serious studies including group discussions on academic maters there were lots of fun among friends. We were under strict surveillance by Wardens so that we should abide the rules and regulations.

As we were not in professional courses, as such there were no campus placements for our course, although a few companies came for campus interview. Most of the students opted for higher studies and those who were not interested in studying further got good placements in Govt. or Pvt. jobs.

There were fests on every year. We enjoyed a lot in those events. Cultural events includes drama, songs, dances etc. Audiences also used to dance along with the performers and encourage them.

As the University is funded by Govt. of India, fee structure was very nominal in spite of high quality of infrastructures. We also had opportunities to pay our fees in installments.

Yes scholarships were available to foreign students. Besides scholarships were also provided to some deserving students with poor family background.

Campus life was excellent. There were plenty of options of different types of games, sports etc. Gym facility was also there near to our hostel. There were different centres to learn a lot of things. Training on swimming, NCC etc were provided inside the campus itself.

My first experience to stay in hostel far away from my home. Hostel rooms were provided to most of the students outside the city. Our hostel was a big hostel with more than 300 rooms available. Rooms were provided on shared basis. Two students were accomm

There are hundreds of alumni members of our course from such an University of repute. Many alumni members are well settled inside the country and abroad.

At that time exams were conducted once in a year as semester system was not yet implemented to our course. Thus we didn't have regular exams but couple of months before the exams we used to engage ourselves in rigorous studies.

All faculty members were highly qualified. With a very few exceptions all faculty members used to teach us in depth. The syllabus was of high standard.
