St. Xavier's is known for its good quality education and it's system. Students from all over India tries to get admitted. The discipline and strictness make it look like a army school. But it's worth it.
Course Curriculum Overview
Semester wise exam takes place.6 semesters. One Continuous Internal Assesment (CIA) each semester. This is same for all departments. Our course curriculum is pretty standard. Covers both Marketing and Finance portion. Even gives us a choice in 3rd year.
Placement Experience
Yes the college provides internship. The placement and job opportunities of both off- campus and on - campus is pretty standard. I have not done any intership or job through the college. But the seniors have given quite a number of good reviews.
College Events
St. Xavier's is known for its events. Well known personnel from almost all spheres visit our college every month. Starting from Ruskin bond to Shah Rukh Khan, the students get to meet them and have a conversation too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is quite expensive compared to other colleges. The college charges quarterly fees to be paid on 30th April, 31st July, 31st October, 31st January. It charges around 20k per quarter. So it is quite expensive to me.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not sure about it as I have not availed or required any such thing. There must be some sort of facilities like this provided by our college for the people in need. For them it would be better to check with the college official website.
Campus Life
St. Xavier's have a separate sports quota for admission. Many students get benefitted from it. Many inter department competitions takes place half yearly. The labs and extra curricular is very good. The library facility is very standard and strick.
Hostel Facilities
No, I have not opted for any hostel facility. But I have heard that the hostel facilities and infrastructure are okayish. I would rate it 3 out of 5. It is strict and disciplined. One of the many good things about St. Xavier's College.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors are pretty helpful. All the lobby's and societies have WhatsApp groups. Both formal and informal. So we get to communicate with them. And they are very helpful when it comes to distributing notes and academic stuffs.
Admission
Fill up admission form online ( no offline process) Minimum 60% marks required in aggregate. Few department requires admission tests too. Check the merit list in few days. Payment of admission fees and security deposit.
Faculty
Honestly the b.com morning faculty is better than the evening. Otherwise the faculty is pretty disciplined and decent. Every professor is equally helpful and kind towards the students. The teaching methods are quite advanced too.
