All about UIT RGPV

Overall the college is average. There is no strict policy of attendance or attending classes. You have to keep an average CGPA. If you want to prepare for any competitive exam then it is very helpful. But if you want a proper college life, it is hard as no of classes is very less.

The examinations are semester-based. Every semester we have 5 subjects each related to our branch except for the final semester which has only 4 subjects. We have practical internals and externals and a final exam of 105 marks. Also, we have 3 mid-semester exams which have a 10 percent weightage in finals.

The placements are comparatively very less when compared to other colleges. Despite being a highly ranked college in MP the placements are not up to the mark. No, they don't provide any internships. We have to find it by ourselves to gain experience.

There are few societies and clubs in our college. And they tend to celebrate many of the festivals. Hindi diwas is given utmost priority and shakhnaad is celebrated with its full glamour and glory. Other than that many cultural events are also held. There is an entrepreneurship cell that handles many business-related events and other important meetings.

The fees structure is very feasible. For the general category, it is only around 30,000 per year which includes the bus fees. For SC/ST it is even less and no fees have to be paid. There are also various scholarships for the backward sections.

Scholarships are provided to the topper of every year. Each branch's topper gets a cash prize every year. Other than that the backward section people also get various scholarships to help them in their studies.

Extracurricular activities are comparatively very few. But students have formed various societies to indulge more in it. The condition of labs are poor and it is difficult to work on the computers. Sports events are appreciated and events like MAHADANGRAM are held to encourage students.

I don't live in the hostel. But the hostel facility is average. The fees are very less. But the rooms are small and the food is bearable. The college is very far from the main city. So it is difficult to reach for many facilities.

There is no alumni network as such in college but few of them provide funding to college sometimes. I haven't heard more about it, but the college alumni network is very poor. The connections between the past students are very less.

I wrote JEE MAINS and scored 108 marks in it. I had secured 89.6 percentage in 12 classes. At that time the criteria for ranking was 60 percent JEE and 40 percent 12 class. I secured around 90,000 ranks in all India. Then I put up my name for college counseling in MP Colleges and got UIT RGPV for EC Branch.

The faculty in our college are government employees and few temporary teachers who work there. All of them are highly skilled but sometimes cannot explain everything to the students. Usually, we have to prepare the subjects by ourselves and go to the exam.
