A better than average less than good college.

It is an above average college. The infrastructure isn't that good but the facilities are nice and helpful. The college overall is good. If a student is really hardworking he/she might end up having a job with a really good package.

Though the syllabus is quite outdated but it helps you to have a command on basics. I am a student of 2015scheme in which 100 marks is for each subject , 2 labs 6 theory , in total 8 subjects. Out of 100, 20 is internals and 80 marks external. Now it's 2018 scheme in which number of subjects and full marks is same but internals are of 40 marks and 60 marks is for externals.

The placements are really nice for CS, IS and ECE. Some core companies come for EEE, mechanical and Civil. Even EEE, Civil ,mechanical and biotech students get job offers if not in core they are allowed to sit for mass recruiter companies and almost everyone gets placed in SIR MVIT.

There is a inter college cultural fest known as KALANJALI held every year in the odd semester. There is ethnic day called VERVE also celebrated in odd semester. Other interdepartmental or intracollege fests like AADHAR( by telecom department) , Electrogreeen( by EEE department) , etc are also held.

It is expensive for students admitted through COMEDK Or MANAGEMENT. While it's very feasible for students admitted through KCET. The fee difference between the two is very much. Being a private Engineering college it is expensive for students getting admission through COMEDK.

Scholarship facility is available for people of Karnataka. College also provides 500INR to every child who gets 80% above every year. Money is also rewarded to people who pass through distinction. Students who represent college at University level in any sports are also awarded.

The labs are fine. They are not good enough but unlike other colleges faculty here are co-operative and they make sure we learn even if the equipments don't work. The college is building better infrastructure and slowly but surely progressing to provide better lab facilities.

The girls hostel is fine. The food is ok. There are 3 buildings for girls. Boys hostel have better infrastructure and have 5 buildings. Both boys and girls hostel has good facilities. Girls hostel fee is quite feasible and worth.

The seniors are quite helpful. There is an alumni meet held every year arranged by our college. The seniors are at good posts in different companies and are definitely helpful. We can definitely find seniors on LinkedIn or even contact them directly.

I had to give an entrance exam called COMEDK. Localites of Karnataka can apply for entrance exam called KCET. It was an online based MCQ test. After which there are 3 rounds of counselling. Now the counselling is done online. After which we get choice of college and branch According to our rank in the entrance exam. Then we pay initially an amount of 55k to book our seat that goes to VTU( visvesvaraya technological University) the remaining amount is to be deposited to the respective college which varies from one college to another.

I am a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The faculty of my department is very nice. They teach very properly and are supportive. They have a proper knowledge of the subject. One can find both experienced and young professors in our department. But overall they all know there subject and teach us well.
