I appeared for CLAT (Common law admission test) in 2013. I scored 732 rank and opted for this college as it was the nearest to my home in dehradun. Moreover it is one of the finest law schools in north india.

The course of B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) is an integrated course that takes 5 years to complete. The initial 2-3 years are dedicated to social sciences along with the basics of law and basic statutes. The final 2 years deal with specialization in a specific field of law For eg. Business Laws, Constitutional Laws, International Laws, Criminal Laws, etc.

Generally students are supposed to intern at the offices of advocates, courts, firms, NGO after the end of each semester. Stipend is usually offered depending upon the quality of work done by the intern.

RGNUL organizes a variety of events that range from ethic festivals to Halloween parties and literary festivals. The college also plays host to a number of moot court competitions which hundreds of colleges from across the country attend.

Student loans are available at the SBI branch situated inside the college. Moreover the college offers 100% scholarship to the most deserving students from each batch. The college also offers free stationary and book banks to the needy students.

There exists an alumni network of RGNUL which holds meetings at regular intervals. The alumni of the college are placed in esteemed firms and institutions and are hence handy in guiding junior students to the right path.

The faculty at RGNUL is outstanding with many veterans from the field of law. The faculty of social sciences is also very experienced and dynamic. The faculty of legal studies is well experienced with a lot to share from their legal/teaching careers.
