Review of UIT RGPV

Overall UIT, RGPV is average. It needs a lot of improvement in terms of academics as well as co-curricular activities. Students don't quite have social life here. Placements are also not that good. Training and placement office needs to work more to bring other companies.

Course curriculum is mediocre. It is fine, however it needs to be renewed as curriculum is based of old technology. Along with that new technologies must also be added. Some changes also needs to be done in the sequence of the subjects being taught. For example:- We were taught Fourier Series and Transformation in 4th semester maths. But the fourier analysis was in 3rd semester electronics. It was quite difficult to understand the analysis without having studied the series and transformation beforehand.

Placement and Job opportunities are really less. It is only available for CS and IT brach students. TCS (mass recruiter) is the only company that comes for other branches which offers really less salary package. No, College doesn't provide internship. You have to find it on your own.

Not many events are celebrated in the college. Cultural or sports committee are not that strong and active. A cultural fest might take place once in every three years. A Sports fest (Mahasangram) takes place annually.

The fee structure is quite feasible. It is approximately 30,000 to 40,000/- per annum. You can pay it in installments i.e half of that amount each semester. This fees includes Bus fees too. As the college is quite away from the main city of bhopal it becomes very feasible.

Scholarship for SC/ST students is available. They don't have to pay Tuition fees and university fees, only bus fees are to be paid by them. Also Rgpv provides annual scholarship to merit students.Top few hundred students among all the colleges affiliated with Rgpv are given 20,000/-.

No extracurricular activities. Hardly any equipment from any lab works. Most of the equipments are old and worn out. Only 2or 3 computers works out of 40. If the computers work, they don't have software programs to work upon. No importance is given to sports from college. However students do organize a sports event annually.

No I didn't opt for college hostel as the hostel available at that time was really old and unhygienic. However the new hostel built now is fine. College hostel is inside the campus of RGPV. Since University is far from main city, living in college hostel makes it difficult to join any coaching for PG preparation.

Seniors are quite helpful. They help juniors in terms of books, notes, course, questions papers , exam pattern etc. Sometimes they can be more helpful than teachers. College organises 25th alumni meet for former students.

Admission process in University Institute of Technology (UIT, RGPV) is through MP online counselling. It is based on the marks and rank of JEE MAINS. Students with JEE MAINS rank between 90,000 to 1.5 lakh can get this college.

Faculties are fine. They have sufficient knowledge and experience required for the university level exams. Most of the faculty don't complete entire syllabus before exams. But they are quite helpful.
