Remarks

Very good in overall things. I feel lucky to study in this instituition. The aim of my college itself is to be in the top ten private medical instituitions in India by the year of 2025. I think my college is in the right path for the goal.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm satisfied with the current course curriculum. So, basically MBBS is a 4.5 years course with a mandatory one year hs period. The first part of MBBS or simply 1st MBBS consists of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry each with 2 papers for university exam. 2nd mbbs consists of pharmacology, pathology, microbiology and forensic medicine and all the subjects have 2 papers for exam except forensic which has only one paper. 3rd mbbs part 1 has ophthalmology, ent with one paper and community medicine with 2 papers. For the final year (3rd mbbs part 2) has general medicine, general surgery, obg (all have 2 papers)and paediatrics(with one paper only). All these parts have duration of 1 year, except for 2nd mbbs, which is 1.5 years in duration.

Placement Experience

5

There is internship after the course for one whole year. Placements are 100% since after the course all are Doctors. Internship has good opinion so far from seniors. The stipend is moderate with a monthly salary of 12000 inr

College Events

4

The college itself is so eventful. The first thing to celebrate is the New year programme named 'Venite Fideli' on the first week of January. Then we had a grand Union handover ceremony. Also Valentine's day programme named 'Dinkolfi'. Also the college participated in intermedicos fest and ended up with 6th position. There was Grand Ifthar party at the month of Ramzan. Also Onam programme named 'party ONam'. We're yet to conduct the interbatch arts and sports fest and our college day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible as I study in the merit seat allotted by the entrance commissioner. The annual tuition fee is about 250000 and hostel fee+mess fee+ college fee will comprise of about 1.5 lakhs. But overall it is not so high in my opinion.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college itself doesn't give a loan of their own. But we are free to take any educational loans from banks. The college support this by giving fee structure for the bank loan. Also the students are free to apply for any scholarships they can claim.

Campus Life

4.5

The college promote extracurricular activities very well. The college tops among private medical colleges in kerala at intermedicos fest. Also it gives much importance to sports too. They built a synthetic badketball court last month as a part of this.

Hostel Facilities

4

I have opted hostel and I would say it is the best one you will get in any college. The hygiene and cleanliness has no compromise here. Also we have spacious rooms with study area. One seperate bathroom and washroom is there for each room shared by 6 persons. There is water heater in all bathrooms. Overall the hostel is well maintained by the cleaning staff and maintenance dpt.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini network is emerging only as the first batch has passed out few months before only. But we hear they are planning to form one. If so it will be so nice to watch their meetups and when I pass out, I can still be attached to my college

Admission

I got my seat by the medical entrance examination for medical seats in kerala for the year of 2016. The commissioner for entrance examinations finally allotted me this college, considering my entrance rank and other things. I presented my documents at college on time and finally my dream came true!.

Faculty

4

Majority of them are very nice to the students, and few of them are exceptionally good, who make us feel more than teachers. Likewise some teachers are not so nice with children. But there is no harmful or hateful teachers btw. Thank God!

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
