A good college for knowledge and studies

Our college is among the good colleges in the city. It provides students with academics as well as recreational activities. It is the best college if you want your college life to be the best memory of your life. Only negative aspect is there are very less placements in the college so one has to depend on masters or govt exams

Bsc non medical can be a tough course but once you get used to the books and ofcouse the staff you would get through easily. The staff is of mixed teachers some are exceptionally well and extremely helpful but some tend to just rush the syllabus. We have two semesters in a year plus two MST i.e mid semester tests these are taken in between the semester for the preperation of students for the final exam. The final semester exams are of 22 marks for physics and chemistry and 30 marks for maths. The subjects are divided into 3 sub subjects. One needs to get a total of 33 percent to clear the final semester.

Placements are very low in our college and if you expect a good job package then this is not your college. Companies offering call centres job mainly come here or some front desk jobs. Overall placements are not good in the college.

There are various events in our college. Like annual dance competition. We hzve maths society science society etc in which there are quiz seminars. Moreover there is NSS and NCC camps students interested can talk to the concerned people and get themselves enrolled. Plus there are various singing and dancing groups which take part in various competitions held in city or other colleges

The fees structure is not at all expensive. In my couse the fees is about 20k for a year is very low compared to most of the other private colleges nowadays. one can easily afford this college with ease.

There are various scholarship which students can avail these qre mostly based on their 10th percentile or 12th percentile. Plus there are scholarship for economic weaker section of society. Some can give you a waves of 20 percent to 70 percent.

Sports and activities play a important role in our college. There is a cricket academy a basketball court and other indoor sport. we have our college team for football rugby basketball cricket and badminton. There is a very good exposure for sports in our college. Talkings about labs our both chemistry and physics labs are well equipped and are neat and clean

Dav college has a vast alumni network. Seniors are extremely helpful. They are perfect guide for everything it can be sports studies or anything they provide the best help. Students are also very comfortable with seniors in our college.

The process is based on merit. Once you fill up your form online you will be called for counseling and seats will be allotted to you through merit. You can choose from various colleges which come under punjab university depending upon number of seats left.

As i mentioned above the faculty consists of mixed experienced teachers and some new fresh teachers. All of them put great efforts in their respective subjects but as i mentioned some are new teachers so sometimes it feels that they donot have the indept knowledge of the subject and they are there only to complete the syllabus. So that thing kind of is a pain
