Galgotias University- A place of Exposures

The College is overall a good place and having some pros and cons like everywhere, its out of the city on the Expressway,which sometimes causes hindrance in transportations and hostel has an issue of food but on the other side the good thing is in technical fields we get good exposures and support from the University and it's senior students.

Course curriculum is average , not too many subjects ,nor too less , the subjects are also extra for some skills and extra knowledge, regarding exams it has a new Examination structure that has one Mid Term Exam and One End Term Examination. Adding also 20% marks of internal , 30% of Midterm and rest 50% of End Term Examination.

The Placements that my seniors are getting are sometimes good and above average, the average placement goes to almost 3-4 lacs Per annum , which ,mostly in Computer science Engineering is the highest no. Of placement, there are companies like ,TCS, Wipro, Infosys,which recruit students in Mass and at a good package consistently since many years

There are all types of events celebrated in my college. There are 1. Technical workshops 2. Diwali Fest 3. Holi Fest 4. Lohri fest 5. Valentine's day Prom Night 6. Hackathons 7. Rangoli Competition 8. Independence and Republic Day 9. Unifest -Annual Fest 10. Yukti- Annual Departmental Fest

The fee structure is kindof tending towards expensive structure, it's almost around 1,60,000 Per annum for Btech (One Year) in addition to extra 1,10,000 for the Hostel, According to the facilities they provide ,the Fees They demand is high as the facilities are cut everywhere from students.it's expensive in terms of a noodle class student.

The University doesn't provide any internship in Some departments,though in some departments like media and communication, they have good approach and call good companies for even internships , the companies levels are good ,but not everyone gets the internship. We have the resources and people who can train us for the internship.

The Labs here are with basic needs and some of good specifications, the Labs are not very well equipped too, and regarding sports the facilities provided are basic and average, the sports department is supported always and given full freehand to participate anywhere and win accolades , the sports equipment are also there upto some limit.

The Hostel Infrastructure and Facilities are really good , everything is being provided in the hostel ,except water geyser , the only disadvantage is the food there , the food made in the hostel mess is really of very bad quality and taste which is hard to eat , facilities are good but mess is not.

Yes , the Alumni are also active and in touch with their juniors as the college hosts it's alumni meet every year and greets it's alumni students , students are also connected throught the LinkedIn to all the Senior passouts and alumnis which makes a good network.

Honestly, Admission in Galgotias University is not a hard thing, they just require the basic requirements and the eligibility, I applied on the University's website for the GEEE Examination , and gave exam in which almost everyone qualifies and then got admission in the University.

The faculties are good and supportive sometimes, they have good experiences and are been selected from IIT's , IIIT's , and many big colleges which have a good knowledge in their domain.The Faculties also have some good connections in the corporate world in order to get some internships and placements.
