My opinions about Nirma University

The university has developed and enhanced greatly in the recent years, in infrastructure, education, procedure, digitization, and much more. There were issues regarding methodologies and procedures back in the time. The professors were often rigid in their methods of accepting assignments and such. But now things have improved a lot.

The exam structure is very appropriate. It can be enhanced and made easier to conduct by introducing various methods to digitize the process. The assignments should also be made digital instead of written assignments. The course content is good. But the procedure should be worked upon.

Very good job and placement opportunities at nirma university. The faculty members put in a lot of efforts to visit the companies and call them to the university. The interview procedures are also conducted in very smooth manner.

Cultural festival is conducted by the RCNI club. Technical festival is conducted by the ISTE club. They both bring in very good celebrities each year. The events are lively. There are other active clubs as well.

Quite expensive. But it is comparable to that of the other private universities in its vicinity, in terms of both, quality of education, and the university rankings. Nirma University has a few peripheral expenses which can be trimmed.

Scholarships are available for the meritorious or economically needy. You can check that on official website. It is available in each course and department. It can save your tuition fees by up to 50%

Initially there were average or not good amenities, but they have improved greatly in the recent years. They now have contests for almost all sports and the laboratories are very equipped, but the professors need to work on requiring the students to participate actively.

Very helpful alumni. They guided me all thru my hardships. They also solved my seemingly stupid queries and concerns in a very positive way. That not only solved my doubts, but also augmented my confidence.

I had a very decent score in JEE Mains. But when I was allocated the course, I did not want the course in my 1st preference. And the university denied to allocate me a seat in my 2nd chosen course, Computer Science. Eventually I appeared again thru another channel, admissions based on state board results. And then i finally landed into Information Technology course. The process here is very transparent and no partiality or under the table services and admissions are not encouraged at all.

Good faculties. They need to encourage the students to participate in greater projects instead of merely attempting for scores and marks. The faculties are knowledgeable and very helpful. But the procedure sometimes makes it dull for a student.
