I love my college for whatever it is. I am satisfied and as well proud for being a student of Visvabharati University. I love the ambiance, our Santiniketan has. This place is beautiful. Students learn while interacting with the nature, under the trees. This has a different culture.
Course Curriculum Overview
Agriculture is a very vital course and offers vast scopes. There are several subjects studied under this course. Exams are conducted at an interval of 6 months. Semester system of exam is prevalent.
College Events
There are several events celebrated such as Bosonto Utsob- Visvabharati is famous for its well known bosonto Utsav. Briksharapan - Tree plantation day which was initiated by Rabindranath Tagore. Sharod utsob- it is celebrated before Durga Puja. Students from all departments perform Drama. Anondo mela- It is a fair organized by the students of Visvabharati on the day of Mahalaya. There are several other such events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible. General category students need to pay only 3000 rs per semester as academic fees and hostel charges are 500 per month and the meal charges vary according to the way u select the meal.
Fees and Financial Aid
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship is a scholarship that I avail. There are other scholarships for students scoring good marks and for financially weak students. Students also avail for Kanyashree scholarships.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are a mandatory part of our college. I myself do NSS. Rather than that there are facilities for students who play. Students are provided every possible things they require for sports and games and regular competitions are held. Also a sports day is celebrated and students are distributed prizes to encourage them.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is very clean and a good decorum is maintained. There are rules and regulations all students have to abide by. Wardens look after us. The surroundings are very good and I enjoy my hostel life.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the senior students are very helpful. They guide us in every way possible. For any competitive exams they help us know all details and always try to help us in which ever way they can. I personally find a lot of help from any senior of alumni when ever I require.
Admission
Online Application forms are filled with the required information. Students are chosen on the basis of merit and called for counseling. After a successful counseling procedure students are admitted.
Faculty
Very nice. Teachers are very helpful and guide us in the best way possible. They help us learn hand in hand. Conduct regular practical classes for our better understanding and offer us helping hands whenever and however needed
