Life of a Law student at ICFAI

1. It is very far from the city you have spend aprox 3 hours 30 minutes in travelling itself 2. Food inside mess is tasteless but we have pretty good canteen and the dhabas outside have pretty good food

It's better than a normal degree like BBA or B.Com as it is a integrated course where you get both degree of Law and BBA in 5 years. Exam is divided into 6 parts. 1. We have 4 tests (2 before mid-semester and 2 after that) each test carries weightage of 10% which makes 40% in total. 2. There is mid-semester exams which carry a weightage of 20% 3. There's end semester exam which carries a weightage of 30% 4. 5% weightage goes to your attendance depending om your attendance% you get marks 5. The last 5% of marks are given based on your participation in class The best part is all the tests are graded using relative grading and not absolute grading

The college doesn't provide internship, but we do have a Legal internship program where we have to do a total of 5 internships in 5 years one in each year. We have to apply at different advocates and work and experience under them and make a overall summary of our experience and a project on a particular topic of Law

We have various events in cultural and literary fields. We have ICON - Icfai Conference of Nations, its a MUN. Then we have a literary fest. And the best one is TRITI which is held every year its a cultural fest.

Fees is okay but overall expenditure in the college becomes expensive. The fees presently for BBA-LLB HONS PROGRAM is 1.25 lakhs per semester and we have 2 semester per year for 5 years which makes it total of 12.5 lakhs plus the college is located at the very outskirts of the city. They charge 19000 per semester for availing the college transport for me it takes almost 1 hour 30 minutes in the morning to travel in the morning and 2 hours in the evening or more depending on the traffic. My house is located at Begumpet which is the centre of the city

They give a good scholarship discount based on your CGPA in every semester. It ranges from 15k to 5k depending on cgpa from 10.0 to 8.0 cgpa and they also give a scholarship based on the cgpa from your high school.

We have a football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, swimming pool, squash room, table tennis room, basketball court, tennis court and a gym and competition are held every year in the college which is inter school and also between IBS, ILS and ITS also based on your performance you might get a chance to participate in nationals

I haven't opted for hostel but the overall hostel experience is bad they charge 64k per semester for hostel including mess fees.the food at the mess sucks which makes it even more difficult to survive thats why there are many dhabas outside our college

Particularly in ICFAI Law school my batch is where they started having more number of students my seniors batch have 80 students my super seniors have 50 their super seniors had only 35 my batch has 200 students and my juniors have 350+ students. Overall seniors are pretty interactive. We get to know each other in events or competition. There is no raging culture in our college.

Firstly clear your high school from a recognised board, you don't have to write CLAT (entrance test to get admission into a law school) because they have ILSAT after clearing the exam there will be an interview after which you get an admission into the college

The law faculty is really good, they have good faculty for major subjects of law. You actually have to understand the concept and ingredients and it is done very well by the law faculty. The BBA faculty for ICFAI Law school is really bad they don't bother to teach, infact i doubt if they themselves are clear with the concept.
