college review

As mentioned i would give my college a rating of 3/5 stars. It is definitely not the best college around but it is pretty good. During first and second year, a student will regret choosing this college but after some time, the faculty, the environment everything becomes good. I don't regret choosing this college for my engineering.

Course curriculum is outdated. It's like we're learning the same things from last decade. Every 6 months (semester) there are 2 mid-semester exams and one final end semester exams with external practicals.

Yes this is the only thing I like about my college because the placement opportunities here are maybe best in my city, this year highest package went to 28 Lakhs per annum. But the average package lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. But there is a very good chance that if you have even very less skills, then too you will be placed.

There are various clubs in my college like photography club, dance club, entrepreneur cell, broadcasting channel on YouTube etc. Every year there is either a cultural or technical fest. College also organises workshops and meetings every 2-3 months.

The fee structure totally depends on person to person, one may find it feasible other may find it expensive. I personally find it a little bit on the expensive. The reason being it's almost double the average fee structure of other colleges in my city. But it's worth it because if you spend 4 lakhs in your 4 year course, you get a package of around 4 lakhs per annum.

There is a scholarship department in the college which updates the students every now and then with latest news and updates regarding scholarships. This department faculty is helping students with their scholarships. Loan facilities are not provided as of my knowledge.

The labs, libraries, workshops, sports team everything is present but not utilized fully to its potential. My college focuses on theoretical knowledge more and getting good marks in semesters is the only requirement for good placements. Though there are several practices of campus and placement training but they are pretty average.

No, but i have many friends who have opted for the hostel and according to them the facilities and infrastructure is bad. You only get basic facilities that too with many restrictions. The current hostel is only for first year students, hence no ragging issues.

Yes every 2-3 months, seniors and alumni comes to the classes and discuss about their placements and how they prepared for and got it. Many discuss about various competitive exams and how to crack it. Yes alumni network is strong and helps the students.

I got admission on merit basis through MP online counseling. The counseling includes list of branches and colleges and student gets college according to his rank. Back in 2017, there was no interview for admission in the college.

Most of the faculty have good knowledge of the subjects and technology but only 20% of the faculty are hard working. Faculties come to class takes attendance and talk about a topic for 15-20 mins and after that tells the students to do their own work /assignments.
