Course Curriculum Overview

About course curriculum, Kumaraguru College of Technology follows most of Anna University syllabus. But Kumaraguru College of Technology is an autonomous instituition. So they have their unique exam structure. Its was very useful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee for all the specializations of BE is INR 85,000 per annum. It is feasible for a top College. They provide good placement service. They also accept first graduation fee reduction. Upto 20000 reduce the fees for first graduates.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is good scholarship available in Campus. They give around 10000 to 15000 Rs per year for top performers in each department. It is called Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship. Loan facility also available in campus. In campus Karur visya Bank is placed. They give educational loan for eligible candidates.

Campus Life

23 acres of well developed play fields for the following major outdoor games & sports is provided: Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basket ball, Volley Ball, Ball badminton, Kabaddi, Tennis, Hand ball, Kho-Kho, Throw ball and out door Gymnastic.

Admission

I have scored 195.5 Engineering cutoff in my 12th. KCT wants 190 yo 195.5 cutoff for Mechanical Engineering course. The admission process is very simple. I joined KCT via Anna University counseling. Then KCT have some internal admission process. Its all about Certificate verification and others.

Faculty

Kumaraguru College of Technology has about 400 teaching and 395 non-teaching staffs. They are having good knowledge about their subjects. They are so good when teaching subjects about studies and our life also.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Kumaraguru - A wonderful journey

I applied councelling in which i was offered a several college based on my marks. First i opted CIT coimbatore following psg coimbatore and third option as Kumaraguru College Technology coimbatore. A green campus with welcoming nature for all students.

I chose this college because the first reason is it was near to my home. The travel distance was less. And the placements offered by this college was awesome. And the students and the alumni had positive reviews about this college. When I went for the campus visit I fell in love with the beautiful and green campus. this college contains more exposure compared to other colleges. more clubs with active participants.. highly supportive teachers with mental support. well equipped infrastructure. gives more preference to skills and practical knowledge over theory and have international tie ups with abroad colleges and companies.. offering a unique standards to the students.. YUGAM is the largest intra college fest in south india with participation of highly rated musicians and singers from south. actually i've first applied to this college and got the seat .
