Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of SMIT improves the overall quality of the student. It was designed considering the need of the industry. SMIT encourages the student to contribute to research and provides funds to carry out the same. The institute also encourages the student to write a research paper.SMIT overall focus on the holistic development of the students.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario of Sikkim Manila Institute is very good. The students are placed in reputed Industries.
College Events
The Institute host a yearly event known as Kalrav which I the largest event in the state of Sikkim and some of the northeast states. Further, every department organizes its own event. Annual day, sports meet, are some of the other events that the institute organize regularly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As I belong yo the Sikkim quota category and during that time I used to pay around 60 -70thousand. Now it has increased with the need of the hour. There are two categories one is Sikkim quota category and general category. But SMIT provides the scholarship for the meritorious students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not applied for any education loan or scholarship. As I used to get the scholarship from govt of Sikkim as I qualified the entrance examination conducted by Govt.
Campus Life
The campus is located at the bank of river tees ta and campus is well known for scenic beauty, infrastructure, quality education and placement. The gender ratio is quite good. The institute frequently organized the co-curricular activities such as science exhibition, debate, painting, blood donation, Swachchh campus etc for the overall development of the students
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. Alumni of SMIT is very cooperative and always guides the student of the SMIT. They also provide the internships and act as a mentor for the juniors
Admission
Through the Sikkim quota category. Sikkimese students get a chance to study from govt of Sikkim which is called a Sikkim quota category. For Sikkim quota category there is a fee concession in SMIT. Also, they get a scholarship from the govt of Sikkim. Sikkim students get befits in fees.
Faculty
SMIT faculty are very helpful they are always ready to help students even after the class. They encourage the students to participate in the research work and published a paper in the journal of repute. Further, they are qualified enough to clear all the doubts the students have.
