Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is quite good. Exams are based on continuous and comprehensive evaluation. There are quizzes , mid sem and end sem exams , and grading is relative. So that there might not be some kind of dissatisfaction about the grading in students.
Placement Experience
Iits are known for their best placements in the country. The highest placement among all the indian institutes of technology last year was from iit kanpur and there were 3 students with placement package above Rs. 1 crore
College Events
Fests Antaragni - one of the largest cultural fest, this year mamy celebrities came including shankar, ehsaan , loy Udghosh- sports fest of iit kanpur Techkriti- biggest fest at iit kanpur. the technological fest of iit kanpur. All these fests see nationwide participations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible for the ones who need, and average for the ones who are able to afford. The fee charged depends upon your category, as the caste system is followed. Sc/St are given 100% waiver on tution fee and mess charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Merit cum means scholarship Institute gives Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarships to meritorious and needy students, in this scholarship a student is given full fee waiver and is awarded a monthly pay of Rs. 1000
Campus Life
Too good, iit k has a very vast culture, whether it be coding culture , there are lots of clubs, programming club ,electronics club.there are lots of teams that participate in competitions worldwide and bring honour to the institute, we have world class labs
Alumni/Alumna
One of the Best alumni network , iit was the first institute in india to provide a computer science course , and that is one of the reasons those who preferred computer science choose iitk as the preferred college and they all are doing great in their fields.
Admission
Jee advanced, first we have to prepare for jee mains and advanced as soon as we step into our 11th class and join some coaching, as they provide us with the material required to study to crack the entrance exam. Then clear both exams consecutively, then there is a counselling, allocation of seats then admission.
Faculty
Top class, all of them are highly educated, professionals in their fields. They are too much dedicated to their jobs, and they create good quality research and guide many researchers. They are acknowledged worldwide
