Remarks

Nope. The college has given us more than what we wanted, and I am more satisfied with it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The institute focuses on holistic development. It has some core values that it never looses in every aspect. The institute is driven by best of the brains and focuses more on research based projects. It had some of the best in class infrastructure along with best in class support from the professors. I was the one who was leading the Motorsports club of the college. It has some very good short term projects to work on. It also organises International conferences that provides a platform to present the research publications from the college.

Placement Experience

4

The Training and Placement Cell of the college is the strongest. Some of the regular visitors include Shell, Dell, Microsoft, Safran, etc. For the core engineering branches, there are companies like JLL, Saint-Gobain Glass who visit the college.

College Events

5

There are various events celebrated in the college, starting from the college fest or Kaalrav which is the annual fest of the college. Second, comes Tech Adrishta or the annual Tech showdown pf the college. Then the college has all the departmental fests. Then comes the SMITMUN, the largest MUN of North-East India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees that I was charged from the college end including the Hostel and the Mess fees were around 14 lakh. The yearly fees were around 3.45lakh. The college also gives merit-based scholarships to the students who have 85+ Percentile score in their class 12.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for scholarship neither did I apply for loans. The college does give scholarships to meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

One hell of a life, full of memories, learnings, debates, fests, birthday celebrations, teachers becoming family, friends becoming family, from conducting titration to publishing research papers. Organising fests, Vishwakarma Puja, leading clubs and participating in various intercollege events.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

SMIT has some Grade A hostel facilities, with twin sharing rooms along with attached bathrooms. The rooms are clean and are well maintained. You can easily choose between an AC and a Non-Ac hostel. The best part is the food. SMIT has good the best food when compared to other colleges.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are helpful in getting internships and getting the companies to board onto the college dashboard.

Admission

I got into SMIT using my JEE Mains Marks. The process was normal as for every university. I got to know about this college from an advertisement. After that, I applied to it by contacting its admission cell. Thereafter I was selected to pursue my Bachelors in this college

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is the best and everybody makes you feel at home. Everyone would treat you like a guardian, guide you, teach you, and make the best of the best out of you. They always encourage new project ideas and are ready to pitch in their ideas too.

Placement Experience:

Placement is overall good here. Students from ece/eee are better placed than cse here. Here, companies like nvedia, apple has given the highest package. Previous year highest package is 55 lakh ,which had given to two students from eee branch. This year highest package is 35 lakh . Which is offered by two students. Now ,I am concluding all branch avg and placement percentage - Civil -70%placed Mechanical- 100% placed Eee-92% Ece-90% Cse/ai- 80% Overall -86% Average - 8.85 lpa Median-7.5 lpa Highest -35 lpa

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.
