Remarks

The college is like no other college. No other college can match the ambience of our college and hostels. It really feels like home. The relationship between the seniors and juniors is on another level.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS is my dream course. I've wanted to become a doctor since i met one when I was 4 yrs old. The course has 15 subjects over the course of 4 years and a year of compulsory internship at the college.

Placement Experience

5

Doctors don't have to worry about placements. They are bound to get a job in a hospital after they complete their MBBS or MD or MS. All medical colleges have a compulsory internship of one year. The stipend of the internship for a month is 20k

College Events

5

We have 2 major functions in our college and a variety of academic conferences. Stanlea, the sports meet hosts around 150 medical colleges from all over India. Euphoria, the cultural fest hosts around 200 colleges from all over India. Both these functions have a cash award of 20 lakhs each

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a government Medical College, the fess is way below your average private medical college fee. The college fee for a year is around 10k while the hostel fee for a month is around 5k. Comparatively the fees is really really low

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has many scholarships. The government alone gives scholarships worth 25k ecah year and the college has its own alumni scholarship worth 10k. Many students are benefitting from these scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports are one of the main stress Buster's inour college. The college has a very big ground where the students play cricket, basketball, volleyball, football and hockey. We have our own teams for each game and win many tournaments in various colleges.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are very helpful to the students currently at the college. They fund many activities in the college including the libraries. And in return we conduct an alumni meet for them so they can get together in their second home.

Admission

The admission to MBBS anywhere in India is based on the marks obtained in the national entrance cum eligibility test also known as NEET. The exam us based on the NCERT portions studied in the 11th and 12th standard. It is one of the most difficult exams in India with an approximate 12 lakh students appearing for a mere 15000 government Medical seats

Faculty

5

The faculty is one of the best faculty in tamil nadu. No wonder the college is inside the best 25 colleges in the country including private medical colleges. Each department has about 20 faculties including the PGs

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
